My youth was spent as an active athlete and (inflexible) dancer in small town Ontario, and that lead me to building a life around coaching and teaching many of the things I am passionate about. Movement and well-being have always been part of my soul, but I wasn’t truly intrigued by yoga until joining a class, on a whim, with my roommate in university. Turns out that wonderful group of (mostly 50
+) yogis in a little Nova Scotia town practicing in a church hall was a really amazing experience, and I went back week after week. After 15 years of practice, with only the intention of self-improvement and personal growth, I finally decided to take the plunge and complete my 200 Mocean Yoga YTT on the beach in beautiful Nicaragua. The purpose of my personal practice was redirected, and I could not wait to for the chance to find my way to share this wonderful gift of yoga. It is a balance of the simple and complex, the inspiring and grounding, the physical and mental, and with a little discipline and an open heart and mind has the potential to take us where we need to go. I’m not afraid to make you dig deep in both mind and body. You will find a wonderful balance of physical challenge, breath work, mental clarity, and energetic grounding in my classes.
