Nose Wine School We educate the Art of Tasting, Get your Palate certified. For Wine School : www.NoseWineSchool.com ; Founded by a Sommelier in Los Angeles in 2004.

Started as a consultant in a boutique wine shop in L.A. California, Stefano Yim had set himself apart from other wine merchants in town. His goal was not just only to complete the everyday sales but to enhance customer’s experience and broaden their taste horizons, or , shall we say their noses! More than 65% of our sensory of taste is based on our olfactory, smelling ability, hence, the name of o

ur school, The Nose ! We understand how important it is to have ability to be able to identify certain characteristics by smell in order to enhance one’s pleasure & experience in wine tasting, hence, we developed a sensory training method as part of our wine programs. Moreover, our trademarked quality rating system, 5 Element Tasting Method, from which tasters can grade the wine sensibly & practically according to their own preference, will also be combined in our Advance Level training program. However, the method may require a minimum tasting experience. According to Stefano, Fine wine is after all a form of art. Over the years, I cannot describe how lucky I've been able to cooperate passionate winemakers who share the same philosophy & believe. This time it was really emotional for me to meet Fulvio Bressan who makes unbelievable wines from a small area, Farra, in Friuli.
Stunning may be an understated word to describe his Pignol, Verduzzo Friulano single varietal wine which were rescued from extinction ... Fulvio, Josko Gravner and Enzo Pontoni are probably the axis of guardians in winemaking arts in Modern Italy!!!
As we always agree ... every wine has a soul !!!

Vangelis from Paraschos makes some of finest white wine I ever tasted ... the Ponka , the Riserva 04 knocked me out the chair !
