Tsavo East National Park
Located 333 km from Nairobi, the Tsavo East National Park is one of the largest national parks in Kenya. It covers an area of about 11,747 square kilometers. The park contains some fantastic terrain, including rivers, lakes, tarns, glaciers, and peaks with a wide variety of vegetation, including grasslands, acacia vegetation, open plains and savanna. It is therefore recognized as one of the world's leading bio-diversity strongholds.

The park is also one of Kenya's oldest national parks - it was opened in April 1948. Covering an area of about 40% of al land covered by Kenyan national parks, this park is a popular safari destination, especially due to easy accessibility from the coast. A number of tour guides offer private safaris in the park. Camel safaris are another unique feature of the park. Spectacular views are yet another reason why droves of photographers frequent the park. Visitors can stay at different types of accommodation offered. There is a large lodge with about 104 beds, four tented camps providing 92 beds, two more campsites providing 36 beds, a self-help banda site (12 beds) and nine more campsites. The park authorities are planning further lodges and tented camps. There are also 16 airstrips in the area.

Some of the popular destinations within the park include the Mudanda Rock and the Yatta Plateau, which is the world's largest lava flow. Luggard's Falls on the Galana River include shapely water-worn rocks. Visitors can view a variety of animals at the park, including elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, crocodile, waterbuck, kudu, gerenuk, zebra and Aruba Hunter's hartebeest. Visitors can try to observe the large herds of elephants after their dust baths - they glow red as they blow the red dust through the trunks. There are also about 500 species of birds, including the ostrich, and migratory birds like kestrels and buzzards.

6 Day Nairobi - Meru - Samburu - Aberdare
Day 1: Nairobi- Meru national park, (348 Kms, 5 hrs drive).
The journey starts from Nairobi in the morning around 0800hrs and takes you through the Thika Super highways via the fertile farmlands and scenic surroundings and past the highest mountain in Kenya (Mt. Kenya). Proceed to the green and highlands of Meru region to the park situated farthest in the wilderness of Meru. Arrive in the afternoon with an enroute game viewing drive to the lodge for Lunch. Afternoon have a game viewing drive in the park with dinner and overnight at Rhino River Camp. FB
Day 2: Meru National Park.
Spend the whole day at leisure with 2 extended game viewing drives searching for the plain games leaving in this park almost undisturbed. Wildlife here includes: Gravy Zebra, Elephants, Eland, Bush Pig, Waterbuck, Cheetah, Leopard, Reticulated Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Bohor Reedbuck, Hartebeest, Python, Puff Udder, Cobra, Buffalo, more than 427 recorded species of birds. This park is also known as the home of Joy Adamsons and other attractions includes; Former home of Joy and George Adamson and Elsa the lioness, Rivers and riverine habitats, Adamson's falls and Tana River. the park also has the Rhino sanctuary which host the white Rhinos which have been captured, tranquillized, and transported from areas where their population was exceeding its carrying capacity. Everything in this park is outstanding and the reputation of the Park was enhanced by the fact that George and Joy Adamson reared and weaned here Elsa, arguably the most famous lioness in the world thanks to the book "Born Free" and the subsequent movie. Elsa was returned to the wild in Meru and here she died in 1961 by natural causes. The Adamsons stayed on and reared in the Park many others orphaned lions. Day 3: Meru National Park-Samburu Game Reserve (205 Kms, 3hrs drive)
Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge then depart for the remote Samburu Game reserve. You will drive past the northern tip of Mount Kenya to the Lewa downs and finally to the buffalo springs for enroute game viewing drive to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, enjoy afternoon game drives within this scenic reserve which is home to rare plant and wildlife species. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Samburu Game Lodge.
Day 4: Samburu national Reserve.
Spend the whole day at leisure with unlimited game viewing drives in this reserve inhabited by special game adapted to the semi arid conditions. These special animals: The Gerenuk, Gravy Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich and the Beisa Oryx can only be seen on the northern park of the Equator. Samburu game reserve is a semi desert with a rugged hilly terrain, with great rocky kopjes (small isolated hills) and lots of springs supporting the abundant wildlife. The solitary mountain rises to 2,145m from an otherwise flat area. The Samburu National Reserve was one of the two areas in which conservationists George Adamson and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness made famous in the best-selling book and award winning movie Born free. The Samburu National Reserve is also the home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting Oryx calves. The specialties that can only be found in this part of the world are the gravy zebra, the Somali ostrich, gerenuk and the reticulated giraffe and gazelles the lesser kudu leopard and plenty of lion and herds of elephants and plenty of bird life and other small game. Day 5: Samburu - Aberdares National Park (175Kms, 2hr:30min)
After your sumptuous breakfast, drive to Aberdares National Park to meet your lunch at the Out Span Hotel which is a base serving for the Treetops Lodge. If time permits you will have a brief stopover at the equator where you will have a chance to stand on the 2 hemispheres at the same time as well as experiencing the "corriolis effect". Proceed to be welcomed for lunch at the Out Span Hotel. Afternoon transfer to the tree lodge where you will spend the rest of your day watching animals coming to drink water and lick salts at the floodlit waterhole. The Treetops lodge is famous for its historical royal connection. One afternoon in February of 1952, a young English girl climbed the fig tree as a Princess. The following morning, she descended as Queen Elizabeth II - her father, King George VI, had died in the night. The park is mostly covered with thicket forest and game viewing drives is minimal and can only be organized by the Lodge at an extra cost. Different Varieties of wildlife come to take water at the flood lit waterhole. Dinner and overnight at the Tree Tops Lodge.
Day 6: Aberdares - Nairobi (165 Kms, 2hr:30min)
After breakfast you will have a morning departure from Aberdares and be driven to Nairobi where you will be dropped off in the afternoon to mark the end of your safari with us! Day 1
Nairobi - Maasai Mara

You will be picked-up from your hotel and be driven to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Your journey will take you through the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and Narok Town where you will stop for lunch. Upon arrival in Maasai Mara you will take off on your first exciting game drive, tracking various animal species and birds. Later in the evening you will return for dinner and your overnight stay at camp.

Day 2
Maasai Mara

After breakfast you will proceed on a full day game drive within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic Savannah, grassland and rolling hills. The Mara reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. You will break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippo and crocodile while you enjoy your lunch. Later in the evening you will return for dinner and your overnight stay at the campsite.

Day 3
Maasai Mara - Lake Naivasha

After an early morning pre-breakfast game drive you will return to camp for breakfast, check-out and depart the Mara region for Lake Naivasha. You will have lunch along the way; arriving in the late afternoon with an optional of boat ride at an extra cost. You may also visit the Crescent Island, and then return to your accommodations for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4
Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru

After breakfast you will take off to tour the Hell’s Gate National Park. This park has attractions like the Olkaria and Hobley, two extinct volcanoes with obsidian forms from the cool molten lava. Within Hell's Gate is the Hell’s Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs containing two volcanic plugs, Fischer's Tower and Central Tower; a smaller gorge that extends to the south and descends into hot springs. You will later depart for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for an evening game drive. Lake Nakuru is referred as “pink lake” for its thousands of majestic pink flamingo and other bird life. It is a true bird watcher’s paradise! You will view a surprisingly large number of animals, including a rhino sanctuary and some of the "Big Five” excluding the elephant on an afternoon game drive. Later in the evening you will return for dinner and your overnight stay at the budget hotel.

Day 5
Lake Nakuru - Amboseli

After breakfast you will check-out and take off on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific bird-life, including the majestic pink flamingo. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of white rhino, with many other species including Cape buffalo and water buck to be seen near the shoreline. Later in the afternoon you will drive to Amboseli National Park where you will enjoy dinner and check-in for your overnight stay at the campsite.

Day 6
Amboseli National Park

After breakfast you will have an amazing day of game drives in this park traveling around the swamp grounds where elephant and hippo bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game including antelope and large numbers of birds can also be seen. In the distance you will see Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak if weather conditions permit. A catered picnic lunch will be provided during your drive. You will later return for dinner and your overnight stay at the campsite.

Day 7
Amboseli - Nairobi/Mombasa

you will raise for an early sunrise game drives; return to camp for a full breakfast. After check-out you will drive back to Nairobi. With lunch along the way; arriving in the evening to be dropped- off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home or at a Hotel.. You can also go to Emali to catch a connection bus to Mombasa if need be. This is where your safari will end.
