Hi Everyone,

We are getting on the Royal Princess in Sydney, Australia today, we are cruising up to Vanuatu, Fiji and New Caledonia.

While we are cruising I wont be able to post an update on the locations of the cruise ships in New Zealand waters , Sorry!

We fly back to New Zealand on the 28th December 2023.

My next cruise ship update should be the 29 / 30th December 2023.

Last night we went to a party at a friends house and spent over night at there's.

This is her last call in Auckland today for her winter/spring sailing season, before she heads back to Australia, this afternoon.

* Noordam is due to be in Gisborne at 1pm, will update this post and add a comment to this post, when she gets in.

* Seabourn Odyssey is in Timaru

* Ovation Of The Seas is not having a good cruise as have missed Wellington today :(, I guess its because of Wellington famous wind??, She is now on her way to Napier!
That is 3 ports she has now missed. ^Stu

I have received an up date on Ovation Of The Seas:

Ovation Of The Seas will not be visiting Fiordland (today - 26th November 2023) or Port Chalmers, Dunedin on Monday (27th November 2023) as she has had a medical emergency and had to go back to Sydney :( .
I guess she will make it to Wellington on Tuesday 28 Nov 2023. If I hear any more I will include it in tomorrow update :) ^Stu

UPDATE ON PACIFIC ADVENTURE NEW ZEALAND CRUISE:

From P&O Australia:

Pacific Adventure Update
P&O Cruises will be distributing letters to all guests currently onboard Pacific Adventure V353 regarding further changes to their current itinerary. An announcement has also been made onboard regarding these updates by the captain.
I have an update to share with you about the cleaning operation of the ship’s hull that has been conducted overnight, and our ongoing itinerary. This update was also shared by the Captain in his earlier announcement.
As you are aware, we were required by New Zealand authorities to undertake a hull clean to remove a recently discovered, high-risk species before we could enter New Zealand.
As a successful hull clean is weather dependent, whilst we were initially optimistic the forecast would allow us to complete this work safely, unfortunately the weather has not aligned with the predicted forecast and conditions dramatically changed upon the divers entering the water. Similar weather conditions are also forecast for the coming days making the possibility of further cleaning very remote.
As a result, we have not been able to safely complete the required additional cleaning of the ship’s hull. With New Zealand’s strict biosecurity requirements, this unfortunately means the ship cannot receive clearance to enter New Zealand and we are unable to continue with a New Zealand itinerary.
Instead, we have developed an alternative itinerary, visiting Australian ports.
The updated itinerary is as follows:

Sunday 26 November At sea
Monday 27 November At sea
Tuesday 28 November Hobart (overnight)
Wednesday 29 November Hobart
Thursday 30 November Port Arthur
Friday 1 December At sea
Saturday 2 December Eden
Sunday 3 December Sydney (Arrival 6.30am)
I apologise for this change. The ship had undergone multiple inspections in the months leading up to this New Zealand cruise, however it was only during the final inspection that the high-risk species was located and unfortunately, the change to the forecast weather conditions has not been in our favour to be able to remove it.
In light of this further change to your cruise itinerary, we will be issuing an additional 25% future cruise credit of the cruise fare paid. This is in addition to the original 25% future cruise credit and $300 per person onboard credit 1 you have been offered. Your 50% future cruise credit 2 will be available to view by logging onto your P&O account through our website from Monday.
If you had any P&O Shore tours booked for the original ports, these will be refunded as onboard credit to your onboard account. Our Destinations team is working hard to confirm shore tours for the updated itinerary, and these will be available via the Destinations Lounge and P&O Cruises app shortly.
If you have any question or concerns about the updated itinerary, please visit our Guest Services desk.
Once again, I do apologise. I would also like to thank you for your patience and understanding. Please know our amazing crew will be continuing to do everything they can to ensure you have a wonderful time onboard Pacific Adventure.

* Pacific Adventure - Was meant to be in the Bay Of Islands today, but she has a dirty hull she has caused her to cancel her call in to the Bay Of Islands today and Auckland tomorrow. :(

Pacific Adventure is currently sailing off Great Barrier Island heading for the Bay Of Plenty, I guess she will anchor off Tauranga latter today to get her hull cleaned.

* Seabourn Odyssey - Visiting Auckland today.

*. Grand Princess - Visiting Mount Maunganui, Tauranga today.

*. Noordam - Visiting Napier today.

* Royal Princess & Pacific Explorer - Visiting Port Chalmers, Dunedin today.
Pacific Explorer was meant to be in Timaru today, but due to expected high winds in Timaru today, they headed to Port Chalmers instead.
