4 year old John -Luke is super excited to come visit Vancouver Island this Spring with his Paw-Paw and Aya!

As he was leaving he gave me a firm handshake and a hug and said see you this spring Mr.Sean.

Great to see so many young future hunters visiting this show with parents and grand parents.

This buck is a perfect example of how cam photos can be deceiving!
We had no idea of the enormity of this old buck until we walked up to him on the ground!
We knew he had age but the giant size of body threw everything off for size!!
Talk about the opposite of ground shrinkage!!!
Congrats to our good buddy Cody for holding out for this old buck. Cody travels up with our new old pal Sherby who has been hunting with us since 2010!!

After many days of sitting and helping us age and grow deer, Dwayne had no hesitation when this big old bodied, dark antlered bush buck walked out. This buck is absolutely loaded with character, with his split main, stickers and heavy blading on his chocolate dark antlers.

Thank you Dwayne for playing such a big part in helping grow our bucks!!

Going back to February of 2019, I had the absolute pleasure of taking this man out on a Vancouver Island cougar hunt.

Travelling from Pennsylvania, Jeff harvested this beautiful big tom.

In our days spent together, we talked hunting, especially whitetails since that was a passion of Jeff’s.

Before Jeff left he asked me to get him and a group of 5 on to our wait list.

It was 2021 when I got in touch with Jeff to let him know I had a group have to back out of their week and he booked on the spot. He was so very very excited.

Unfortunately Jeff passed away before that week arrived.

The group he was bringing up, which included family and close friends, decided it would be a great thing to travel up and hunt the week in honour of Jeff.

We have been toasting Jeff every year since.

Here’s to you Jeff for creating all these friendships that will last a lifetime

This was an end of a really fun era for our great pal Wayne!

It was three years ago, Wayne laid eyes on this buck and saw the huge potential this amazing deer held.

He took pics of him, we looked over the trail cam pics and we figured at that time he was probably 4 years old having the same 9 x 6 frame as he does today.

When he asked me if we could try and grow this deer another year, I was yes..yes..yes!

The following year Wayne and I had agreed, if he saw the 15 again, he could decide at that time, if ihe felt it was old enough or pass it to grow another year.

Wayne sat, patiently waiting for this buck to show as he had the year before, just prior to the rut and in he walks. He had put on some mass, a little length to his tines but his face and body still did not scream out age… so he passed him again.

We both knew it was a bit of a gamble… a bad winter… wolves, but we have had big success in the past growing these bucks so we went for it

This year, again like past years, Wayne sat and waited and the morning of the 4th day… in he walks. He looked like a STUD, everything scattered as he strolled in.

It didn’t take a second for Wayne to decide this time.

A bitter sweet moment but what a beautiful beast!!

Huge Congratulations Wayne, and we thank you so so much for you dedication!!!

Another fun buddy week in our Saskatchewan camp!!

Cody is one of my very best pals, he has done so much in this hunting world for so many people, elderly….youth…special needs, so many that wouldn’t have had the opportunity, but because of this selfless man, they had have amazing memories for the rest of their lives

Cody and I have done numerous hunts together in my outfitting territory with many of these guests and have made some great memories and shows, but this week was very special as well.

Cody finally became the hunter, taking some time for himself and we had an absolute blast! You will be able to watch the whole story unfold next season when this airs!

This week is always one of my favorites. As we wind down at the end of our season and enjoy some great laughs, talk about past memories and plan some new ones!

Another great pal was along with us this week, dropped in for a quick hunt and he has an amazing story to tell as well!!

Many days were patiently spent waiting for this big old tank to walk out !!!

With the very warm days he fed mostly at night, but one little cold snap and with the help of a lot of extra he strolled out!!

I have had the pleasure of hunting with Brian Stephens and can 100% say he is one of the most dedicated men I know, to the outdoors and conservation.

Congrats to our good buddy Richard on this old Saskatchewan bush buck!!!

Richard has been hunting with us in Saskatchewan and Vancouver Island for well over 10 years, and if you look back at the pictures from the past you will see this smiling face with many great bucks… and bears!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of our Southern and Northern friends, guests and families !

We are down to a small group here in our Saskatchewan Deer Camp… due to some successful and very happy hunters that harvested early in the week and took the opportunity to get home and share Thanksgiving with their families.

We are enjoying an absolute delicious feast prepared by Sandy and Lee!! Anyone who has been to our Saskatchewan camp and had the pleasure of sitting down to a meal prepared by Sandy and Lee can fully imagine this feast we are about to enjoy!!

We are THANKFUL for all the friendships and memories created and enjoyed so far this season and one week left to enjoy!!

BROW TINES!!!!!

Our good Georgian buddy Darien was instantly sold on those Giant Brows, but was equally impressed with his HUGE MASS when he walked up to this old buck

Equally impressive… Darien left the next day just so he could be home for Halloween and take his Grandkids out Trick or Treatin !!!

HERE I SIT BROKEN HEARTED…….. This is the week of our Vancouver Island Bear season my good buddy @live2hunt_with_cody_and_kelsy Cody Robbins travels over to enjoy some good buddy time and hunt these amazing creatures together on the Island each year. Well…. This year he stood me up… and here I sit all by myself… just a mere 80 yards from this absolute gigantic beast that Kelsy, Cody and I hunted so hard for last spring. I understand that Codys man feelings get crushed when I beat him at any physical competition he throws at me, but it’s part of aging Cody…..and some just lose their muscle and strength earlier than others and it’s no reason to shy away from our great times and adventures together. Positive note… this Gigantic Island Bear will live another year and we will meet again! @live2hunt_with_cody_and_kelsy @cameramanrichy #canadianguideoutfitters

Our Spring Island Bear guests often comment that the experience of getting out and pulling traps for Prawns and Dungeness crab is as much fun as the hunting adventure itself!!
