Our last day in NYC

Central Park Playgrounds
Our hotel was 2 blocks from central park and there were some awesome playgrounds we wanted to visit. My kids played on the playground for about 5 minutes and then took to the rocks. These rocks are huge. And dangerous. And all my kids wanted to do was play on them. I, of course, chased after them yelling be careful and slow down the whole time. Everyone survived.

Chinatown and Little Italy
We ventured downtown to visit Chinatown and Little Italy. I booked a walking food tour of the two neighborhoods. We loved that someone else did the research of what places have the best pizza or pork buns. Our tour guide even ordered food early so we didn't have to wait in lines. Essential for us.

Rockefeller Center Ice Skating
A little crowded and the tree wasn't lit, but ice skating is a winter activity my kids will always love. We also didn't knock anyone over this year. We're improving!

Busy day in the city.

1. I took the kids to visit Santa at Macy's Santaland. It's free to visit Santa and reservations open up at 6:30am 5 days before your visit. We waited about 30 minutes in line but most of the wait was meandering through decorated rooms. Both kids loved it.

2. Teddy, the animal lover, really wanted to visit the Central Park Zoo. We spent about 2 hours visiting penguins, pandas, birds and sea lions.

3. I've seen wicked a few times but no one else had. The show is 3 hours and both kids were captivated the entire time. They actually saw the movie yesterday and said the play was way better.

4. The Thompson has a secret burger joint hidden in the back of the hotel. Solid food.

After we dried out from the parade, we hit the subway and traveled down to the Village.

We wanted a traditional Thanksgiving meal and Bell, Book and Candle delivered.

Again, ended up at our hotel lounge for cake, candles and singing to top off the day.
