First trip as a fully qualified captain in the books! A quick Newark to Detroit turn. The last few months have been a whirlwind to say the least, but so worth it. Before very flight attendant briefing I had with crew started with “so, I’m brand new” and the support and love made me feel so welcome. The personal notes and snacks were a great touch. From friendly talks with gate agents, to the wisdom (and patience) from our instructors and check airmen, it’s been a blast so far. Honored to work along side all of our great staff.

As a professional pilots, we are required to be evaluated on our preparedness to different emergency situations,Some of this emergencies include engine failures, medical emergencies ,and flight control malfunctions. All necessary to ensure we perform at our best with the utmost safety in case hits the fan.
Always feels good leaving the simulator with a pass,but feels even better to know I don't have to do it for another year... wishing you all the best!

In 2010, mike and I attended community college together to learn how to fly airplanes. Two years later we split paths, he moved to Florida to continue his flight training while I pursued an engineering degree.

In 2015, feeling unfulfilled in my engineering field, I took a refresher course (bi annual flight) to get flight current again. Upon showing up to the flight school ,it was actually Mike who ended up signing me off.

Fast forward 5 years ,I get a call from scheduling to work a quick two days, Upon checking my crew card,it turns out it would be nobody other than Micheal Macellaro, my old buddy from Mercer county community college , who I'd end up being paired with.
It always feels surreal,when things like this happen reminiscing at 32,000ft, That's what makes the Aviation community such an amazing community to be part of,it's been pleasure brotha. Until next time 🛫🛬✈️

Learning to fly an airplane taught me a way of thinking, an approach to problem-solving that was applicable and effective. Pilots are very methodical and meticulous, and artists tend not to be.
