Tiger Fly Reels Tiger Reels are the most innovative fly fishing reels the world has ever seen. Made in Australia. Abel and TFO have shown interest, amongst others like Meggoff.

Tiger Reels came into being in the late 90's, in a worship in Vic Falls, Zimbabwe. I cut the first reels on an old lathe, experimenting with drag systems and drive systems. Patents were issued in 1998 for the mechanism that achieves a 2 to 1 ratio without gears. We left for the UK when Zimbabwe fell off the rails, the next reels were made in the UK, and I fish with these still. Now 10 years in Aus

More importantly, the drawings are at the Machine shop, a company in Brisbane, super excited to get one of these on the test bench,,,,,

Quick update, have made a couple of design changes incorporating Ceramics and Hard anodising,,,,,,,,
