😮 Disney Parks to Pilot New Option Called Lightning Lane Premier Pass

Later this month, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will begin piloting a new service providing expedited entry to theme park attractions: Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be offered in very limited quantities and will give guests one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in the theme park they are visiting that day. This includes attractions included in both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, but with Lightning Lane Premier Pass, guests do not need to select an experience time. Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be a premium offering, and prices will vary based on the date and theme park guests are visiting.

At Disneyland Resort, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available first come, first served beginning two days in advance of a theme park reservation and will be valid for use in both theme parks. The first date it will be available is October 23, 2024.

At Walt Disney World, when Lightning Lane Premier Pass launches, it will be available to guests staying at Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts and may be purchased up to seven days in advance of their stay. It will only be valid for use in one park of the guest’s choice per day. The first date it will be available is October 30, 2024.

❗️So long Disney Genei+ 🧞‍♂️ - Changes are coming! ❗️

At Walt Disney World, guests have told us they would prefer to have the option to do more of their planning before their theme park day. So, this summer we will make changes to the Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane entry, including new ways to plan ahead.

On July 24, Walt Disney World will introduce new, simpler names to provide more clarity for everyone. Disney Genie+ service will become Lightning Lane Multi Pass, while individual Lightning Lane will now be known as Lightning Lane Single Pass.

Disney will also be updating Lightning Lane passes to help guests:

Make Lightning Lane plans before you’re at Disney, for added confidence.

Choose your experiences and times prior to purchasing, so you know what you’re getting.

Book Lightning Lane passes for multiple vacation days, all in a single day.

Here’s how Lightning Lane passes will work beginning July 24.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass
When guests purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, they may make up to 3 Lightning Lane selections in a theme park, in advance of your visit. They’ll also be able to choose available times as they make their selections. On the day of their visit, once they use a selection, they may check the My Disney Experience app for availability to make an additional selection.

Lightning Lane Single Pass
Lightning Lane Single Pass will work much like it does today, where guests can secure a time to ride one of our most highly demanded attractions, but they’ll now be able to make their purchase and plan in advance.

How to Plan Ahead
Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels (Shades of Green Resort, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels) will be able to plan Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days in advance, for their entire stay (up to 14 days). All other guests can plan up to 3 days in advance. These advance purchase windows will let guests secure some of their must-do rides and experiences after they've had some time to decide what dining reservations they want to book and any other plans they may need to consider.

Guests may purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, a Lightning Lane Single Pass or both. The app will also be updated to make it quicker and easier to purchase and plan, with fewer steps and a new option to purchase Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass in one transaction.

Lightning Lane passes will blend features from the current services and the previously offered FastPass+ service, giving guests the choice to plan ahead and removing the hassle of planning during their vacation.

It’s SO close to Port Canaveral, and can be experienced in a day!

🧐🧙‍♀️🌏 Thinking about visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with your favorite Potterhead, but not really a die-hard fan yourself? No worries, there's still tons to enjoy and appreciate for a “Muggle” like you. Particularly the snacks!

🍺 Firstly, Butterbeer (trust me, it's a game-changer and don't let the word "beer" fool you - everyone can enjoy this treat). You’ll love it whether you have it straight up, frozen or in ice cream form (my favorite is frozen!). Definitely walk into Honeydukes, have fun and indulge! Chocolate Frogs, Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, Fizzing Whizzbees... you don’t need to know the difference between a Hufflepuff and Slytherin to have fun in a candy shop! 🍭

💚🦏💚🦏 Happy Save the Rhino Day! Maybe you know, maybe you don’t, but if you’re fascinated by these incredible creatures, here’s something cool Disney offers at Animal Kingdom. Ever heard of their Up Close with Rhinos tour?

🤑For just $49 per person, you can get behind the scenes and spend an hour diving deep into the world of the (near-threatened) white rhinos, and maybe even pet one! 🤯

For those of us who visit Walt Disney World frequently, a tour like this can be like unlocking a whole new level of magic at our happy place. What’s really magical though is snagging a reservation! The tour only happens once a day and is (excuse the pun) WILDLY popular! Has anyone done this or another tour at Animal Kingdom?
