Alpamayo Circuit: This is a tremendous trek which avoids the more frequented trails. It crosses a major pass almost every day as it encircles many of the great summits of the Cordillera Blanca, the triple peaks of Santa Cruz, Chacraraju, Pucajirca and of course Alpamayo. Our 9 day trek, preceded by some early acclimatisation days, is remarkably sustained and amazingly varied and always on good trails.

DAILY YTINERARY:

July 06: Huaraz / Transfer to Hualcayan Camp (2900m) Camp
On the way we have visits to Yungay where there is a memorial to the thousands of people killed in the 1970 earthquake, and then the colourful local market at Caraz.

July 07: Hualcayan / Trekking to Wishcash Camp (4300m) Camp
Climb steadily in a zig zag path from Hualcayan to Wishcash 4300m.4 to 5 hours hiking

July 08: Wishcash / Trekking to Ruina Pampa Camp (3800m) Camp
Cullicocha 4850m, then cross the first pass Paso Osoruri 4750m. A long descent to camp at Ruinapampa 3800m 7 hours

July 09: Ruina Pampa / Trekking to Cruze Alpamayo Camp (4150m) Camp
An easy walk to reach Cruse Alpamayo, 2 hours walking

July 10: Cruze Alpamayo / Trekking Cara Cara Pass (4830m) / Sajuna Camp (4200m) Camp
Climb to the often windy pass Cara Cara 4830m from where we have more fantastic views of Alpamayo and the lakes, and then traverse to another pass Mesapata 4500m and before descending to camp at Lake Safuna 4200m 6 to7 hours.

July 11: Sajuna / Trekking Pucajirca Pass (4600m) / Jancapampa Camp (3600m) Camp
From Safuna to another pass Paso Pucajirca (4600m) and camp in the open grassy valley of Jancapampa 3600m 7 to 8 hours. There are a lot of farming families living in the valley.

July 12: Jancapampa / Trekking to Laguna Huecrococha Camp (3950m) Camp
We pass by many adobe farm houses, sheep, cattle and horses while climbing up to the pass Pass Tupatupa 4400m and descend to camp beside the small lake Laguna Huecrococha (3950m). 6 to7 hours

July 13: Laguna Huecrococha / Trekking Pass Alto de Pucaraju (4650m) / Paria Camp (4200m) Camp
Pass Alto de Pacaraju 4650m from where we have breathtaking views of the mountain Taulliraju, then a steep descent to camp in a lovely quiet valley at Paria (4250m). 6 to7 hours

July 14: Paria / Trekking through Quebrada Huaripampa / Transfer to Huaraz
At first we walk easily down the Huaripampa Valley passing through farming settlements and villages to Colcabamba. 4 hours of walking, and retour to huaraz

CONFIRMED EXPEDITIONS ALPAMAYO: The most beautiful mountain in the world, one look at the southwest face of Alpamayo and any climber in the world would be interested in attempting to climb this remarkable peak. Wildly fluted faces combine with knife-edge ridges to form one of the most remarkable peaks in the world. Climbing Alpamayo, at an elevation of 19,512 feet, can be one of the highlights of an alpinist's career. Alpamayo Southwest Face offers 1,200 ft. Of challenging alpine ice, much of it at 60 degrees or steeper

DAILY YTINERARY:

July 01: Bus Lima/Huaraz (3090mt), (8 hours of trip)
July 02: Huaraz. Acclimatization day hikes (Laguna Churup 4450)
July 03: Huaraz _Cashapampa _Llamacorral Camp at (3750mt)
Drive to our trailhead in the village of Cashapampa (9,000 feet). This 3 hour drive takes us through beautiful farming communities as we head between the spines of the Cordillera Negra and the Cordillera Blanca. After organizing our burros, we hike with day packs to Llama Corral (3750mt), where we camp for the night.
July 04: Llamacorral _Base Camp Alpamayo at (4200mt)
A fairly short day, about 2 at 3 hours with day packs. Basecamp is made at (4200mt) in a valley at the base of Alpamayo on the opposite side of the route. Basecamp is scenic, with greenery, running water and outhouses.
July 05: Base Camp _Moraine Camp at (4600mt)
From base camp, the route takes a moraine ridge and crosses rock slabs across the edge of the glacier to reach an area of tent platforms (3 hours). This camping area is very limited and we may opt to climb all the way to Col camp in one day.
July 06: Moraine Camp _ Camp 1 Alpamayo at (5300mt)
The route above moraine camp continues over ice and moraine before a 300-metre snow couloir leads to the Col between Alpamayo and nearby Quitaraju (6,040m). This section can sometimes be the most technical and difficult part of the route. After gaining the col, there is a short descent to reach high camp.
July 07: Camp 1 _ Summit Alpamayo (5947mt) _ Base Camp at (4200mt
Alpamayo Summit Day Depart from camp at 2:00am and head to the steep summit wall, which offers 360 meters of fun technical climbing to the summit.
July 08: Base Camp _ Llamacorral Camp at (3750mt)
We trek out to Llamacorral Aproximately 3:00 Hours of Base Camp of alpamayo and camping in llamacorral.
July 09: Llamacorral _ Cashapampa Return to Huaraz
We trek out to Cashapampa and then return to Huaraz.Time to relax after the climbing and.

ITINERARY:

April 12: Huaraz _Cashapampa (2900mt) _ Llamacorral at (3760mt)
Depart Huaraz and drive to the small village of Cashapampa to meet your donkeys and begin your trek up the beautiful Santa Cruz Valley. Hike about 4 hours before setting up campand settling in for the evening in an area called Llamacorral
April 13: Llamacorral _Visit Base Camp Alpamayo _Taullipampa at (4100mt)
We continue the trek by the broad and flat creek Santa Cruz, crossing gaps Ichiccocha and Jatuncocha; quisuar arrive at where we started a trek to basecamp side of the creek by Alpamayo Arhuaycocha from where they have splendid views of Quitaraju (6040 m), Alpamayo (5947 m), Artezonraju (6025 m) and others, and then cross into our camp in Taullipampa (4000 m) at the foot of impressive Taulliraju (5830 m).
April 14: Taullipampa _Punta Union Pass (4750mt) _Cachinapampa at (2800mt)
This will be a long and tiring day, rising by a steep and zigzag path between the impressive Taulliraju and flanked by the turquoise lagoon of Taullicocha arrived at Punta Union (4750 m), 3 hours, from where the currency Chacraraju (6112 m ), Artezonraju (6025 m), Pyramid (5885 m), Huandoy (6395 m), Alpamayo (5940 m), Santa Cruz (6259 m), Rinrihirca (5810 m), Taulliraju (5830 m) and others; toward the flank Eastern Cordillera white began to descend by the gaps in Morococha to the wide and long stream of Huaripampa quenuales crossing forests and meadows Andean pleasant, we are approaching our camp.
April 15: Cachinapampa _ Vaquería _Return at Huaraz
We continue to fall until the small Andean town of Colcabamba (3350 m), 1 hour, and then began to climb toward Vaquería (3700 m), 2 hours, which will search our car to ascend toward Portachuelo Llanganuco (4765 m) 2 hours, from where he has splendid views of Huascaran north (6768 m), Huascaran south (6650 m), Chopicalqui (6354 m), Huandoy (6395 m), Pisco (5752 m). Then go down the ravine Llanganuco visiting gaps Llanganuco: Orkoncocha and China-cocha, then return to the city of Huaraz.

Climbing Vallunaraju, Valley Ishinca & Chopicalqui 12 days (Star July 08 and End July 19) Confirmed Departure 100%

Program:
July 04: Lima: Welcome al the airport and transfer to Hotel
July 05: Arrive to Huaraz (3090mt) for bus (8 hours of trip)
July 06: Acclimatization day to Lake Churup 4450mt
July 07: Acclimatization day to Lake 69
July 08:Huaraz_ Llaca_ Moraine camp at 4890m
After the breakfast in the Hotel will pick up you at 8:00hours approximately, then you will be transferred to the East site from Huaraz to Llaca Valley, where is the start point hike to the Moraine Camp for about 2 hours.
July 09: Moraine camp_ Summit Vallunarahu 5686m_ Return to Huaraz
3am will start hiking up sometimes rock climbing to get the glacier for about 1 hours, then climbers will start climbing for about 2 hours more to get the summit. After to stay for some minutes, start to come back to moraine camp walking down for about 2 hours and return to huaraz
July 10: Huaraz _ Pashpa _Base Camp Ishinca Camp at (4350mt)
Today we'll take private transport to the mouth of the Ishinca Valley and with the help of burros, travel to our base camp (4350mt) below Urus.
July 11: Base Camp Ishinca _ Summit Urus (5420mt) _ Base Camp
Urus Summit Day! Your first alpine start has you leaving camp by 4:00am. Work your way up the steep moraine to the toe of the glacier where you'll put on crampons, harnesses, and rope up. Weave your way to the summit, usually arriving around 10am. Celebrate! Return down to base camp for a well-earned dinner and sleep!
July 12: Base Camp Ishinca _ Summit Ishinca (5540mt) _ Base Camp
Ishinca Summit Day! Another Alpine start - 3:00am waking and leaving by4:00am. Ishinca's summit push is about 2 hours longer then Urus'. You'll pick your way through the delicate Andean tundra and gain the glacier around sunrise. Once on the glacier, wind your way through some impressive crevasses and up to the high saddle, then follow a summit ridge to the very top.
July 13: Base Camp Ishinca _ Camp 1 Tocllaraju at (5200mt)
Taking your essentials, you'll leave for the high glacier camp of your final mountain, Toclliaraju. It usually takes 4 hours to reach the camp at 5000 meters. Enjoy an unforgettable dinner while mezmerized by Toclliaraju’s impressive west face.
July 14: Camp 1 Tocllaraju _ Summit Tocllaraju (6034mt) _ Base Camp
This will be a long day for the climb of Tocllaraju. Easy to moderate glacier terrain leads to the final summit pyramid where we encounter several steep snow and ice pitches up to 60 degrees that may require belaying depending on conditions.
July 15: Base Camp _ Pashpa _Return to Huaraz
We trek out to Collon and then return to Huaraz.Time to relax after the climbing and celebrate.
July 16: Huaraz _ Llanganuco _ Base Camp Chopicalqui at (4300mt)
We head out past the beautiful Llanganuco lakes and on to the trailhead where we load our donkeys and ascend to the chopicalqui Base Camp.
July 17: Base Camp Chopicalqui _ Moraine Camp at (4900mt) _ Camp 1 Chopicalqui Camp at (5300mt)
Continue up to the High Camp located at the very foot of the glacier. That night we prepare for the following days summit climb.
July 18: Camp 1 - Summit Chopicalqui (6354mt) _ Base Camp (4300mt)
Summit day! We wake at 2:00 am and after a light breakfast depart for the summit at 3:00am. Around 8:00am we arrive at the summit and discover why everyone talks about the view! We return to our camp around 2:00pm and continue on back down to the Base Camp.
July 19: Base Camp _ Return to Huaraz
We trek out to Llanganuco and then return to Huaraz.Time to relax after the climbing and celebrate.

This program begins with trekking Santa Cruz - Llanganuco one of the treks more popular in Peruvian Andes, and we will have the opportunity of climbing to the mountain Pisco 5752mt, and back to huaraz.
