Situated in the southeast Pacific over 1400 miles west of South America, Easter Island is one of the most remote inhabited places in the world!

The most recognizable art froms of this mystical place, also called Rapa Nui, are its colossal stone figures or MOAI

They represent ancestral chiefs whose supernatural power protected the community
The figures were erected from soft volcanic tuff, on temple platforms along the cost, facing the inland to keep watching over the locals

Between 1100 and 1650 carvers created some 900 of these sculptures offering a mystical and charming landscape to each visitors!

Today in Argentina we celebrate the National Flag Day 🇦🇷 honoring Manuel Belgrano, its creator

The public spaces of the city will be filled in with the colors of our flag, like this wonderful work of mosaics “ LA MAS LINDA” by local artist Nora Iniesta in one of the subway stations of Buenos Aires
