Tonight Dru and I ate at The Chef's Table restaurant on AmaWaterways River Cruise. This specialty dining experience that is included in our sailing, was absolutely amazing! I completely understand why it booked up so quickly! I'm so glad we got to have this wonderful experience on our last night. The food presentation of this 7 course meal was beautiful, and the flavors of food and wine complimented each other nicely!

Tonight we had the farewell cocktail on AmaWaterways' ship AmaSerena. After some words of thanks and a toast 🥂 by the captain, the cruise manager, and hotel manager, we enjoyed the Captain's Dinner. Absolutely delicious! Then we all gathered in the lounge for Christmas Carols with the ship's crew, and were joined by Santa! 🎅

St. Nicholas came! 🎄🎅

Our cruise manager managed to talk to the big guy and get him to visit the ship early! We were told last night that we needed to leave one shoe outside our doors to see if St. Nicholas or Krampus would come to visit to tell us if we've been good or bad this year. Turns out Dru and I are on the good list! 📜🎄

Although we weren't home with family this year, AmaWaterways provided a delicious Thanksgiving meal! Dinner was turkey, stuffing, squash, gravy, and cranberry sauce, followed by a fantastic apple pumpkin pie with ice cream.

Tonight's after dinner entertainment was tree decorating and a Christmas Pickle hunt. It was a great activity to get us all in the Christmas spirit, as our stops including Christmas markets start tomorrow!

Not only is this Rhine Castles & Swiss Alps river cruise a Christmas markets cruise, it is also a wine cruise! This means we have several special events while cruising. The first was this afternoon, we had a Wine 101 lesson. We learned about the history of wine, how to identify wines by color and aroma, and of course had a tasting!

We're finally aboard our AmaWaterways cruise ship, the AmaSerena! And everything so far has been fantastic! The check in process was so smooth, and the staff have been so friendly and helpful! We started out with a Sip and Sail with sparkling wine and tapas, followed by a ship safety meeting. Then we had a multi course dinner, which included a wine glass that never seemed to empty!
