Amazingly there is a zone void of life due to runoff from the Midwest reaching the open waters. I am sure a lot of non coastal folks had no idea.

Come out to the County Commissioners meeting tommorrow at 5:30pm, location: 221 S Palafox St. Pensacola, FL 32502 to show our elected leaders that we want this caliber of wreck to dive and fish upon. You do not have to speak if you do not desire. Your presence will say enough. We need to have as many people show up and have our voice be heard. If you can donate to the cause, all the better. We will have tshirts to show our solidarity. Let's be heard.

Spent a couple hrs on another section of Yellow River and found some more old growth Bald Cypress trees that are simply awesome. Trips can be done 2 - 4 hrs ideally during the summer.
Area is near Blackwater State Park and you can make a day of exploring the wanderful Santa Rosa County. Do things Florida Style for a while...

Did a river trip yesterday on some of the Yellow River. The naturescape is absolutely Wanderful and peaceful. Did the usual trash pickup. Filled two bags of old bottles from the 70s and 80s and other misc trash.

Yesterday morning Fred flew up at sunrise coffee time. I told him I expected to go pick some oysters up in the bay. He did not object to that idea so I did....yes sir we have fresh local oysters!!! The best in the world right here in our back yard bay.
