It was a stormy day today! Thunder, lightning , wind and rain..but a wee bit of sunshine too! lots of paddling, yard fun and games still.

The lake life has been pretty good here it’s been warm, sunny, cold, rainy, hot, we’ve had about everything! Only a few mosquitoes and it’s been very bearable!! Getting ready for a super busy weekend and a whole lotta fun!!! Getting the bathing suit ready!!

Beautiful but chilly night here at the ranch, having a fun campfire night. Only Al Rowe could catch with his hands a 3 1/2 lb fish by hand in a kayak no net!!! Video is in comments. 🎣

When you have to empty out your boat after a ton of rain!!! Best way ever! Why didn’t I think of that? Hopefully some better days ahead. When the kids get bigger here we’ll have to put them on boat emptying detail and buy them all water guns!

The beautiful Aurora night on Friday it was pretty amazing the Cariboo is a magical place (even though it was seen everywhere) 😂we were having campfire night and enjoyed the whole show! I’m not great at taking pics with my phone but still it was pretty good!

Well that was a fun afternoon with the boss. It rained a bit but with a few doubleheaders a couple of jumpers (off the line) 2 lost flys ..a splattering of rain .. we landed a few and let them go , but the big one we needed to keep all the cats were happy and well fed today! What a pig! I know we have big ones here but it’s sure exciting when you land one!

It’s been a nice day here at the lake it rained it was sunny.. a bit of everything.. Toby says hello and we’re having egg roll day egg rolls and egg roll soup 🥢🥣

Chilly but gorgeous day in the lake today it was sunny, breezy, there were wee snowballs falling from the sky once in a while (glad it wasn’t rain). With the boss today it was a lovely morning!

Nice walk tonight, it’s beautiful out there after all the wind and snow! Sadly the public dock didn’t fare the storm too well.

Most of the lake is frozen, it’s still frozen by our house but this lucky guy found a sweet spot of water and took his boy Everett out for a float, good for Kyle Dykstra! Oh and Lil’Maze was fishing off of her dock this week as well! Bring on the spring fishing season!

Cabin is cozy and warm, just awaiting our New Years guests (very good friends ) they were coming for a wintertime stay with snow and skating..but with it being 6 deg out the snow is melting quick , we may be able to save the winter fun by skating and lake curling but how to freeze the milk jugs for rocks.. the struggle is real!

The colours after a rain are always brighter! here in the having a driveway fire as it’s windy in our usual spot, came home from the to see a few of our gang here in the rain now it’s turning into a gorgeous evening! Beautiful evening here! Started the day with a warm coat and boots and finishing in shorts with a beverage on the dock what a beautiful fall day! Still have space left for camping ⛺️. You’d have to be ready for anything here as high up as we are!🌞⚡️🌪🌦❄️☃️💨🔥
