Took an adventure to the Christmas Capitol to go see these wonderful ice sculptures at the Ga***rd Texan.

As we all know, Florida took a pretty hard hit from Hurricane Milton last week. Milton was set to make landfall the day before/day of we checked into Disney. Did you know….I had been monitoring the storm since BEFORE it became a hurricane? As your travel agent it is my job to look ahead and have contingency plans in instances like this. For my family, I had a plan b for our vacation days ahead of Milton making landfall (thankfully we didn’t have to go plan b).

You never know what you’ll see and hear at animal kingdom! These two primates were so vocal the entire time we were in the park and were pretty interesting to watch too. Monkeys are my favorite animals so I could have watched them all day long ❤️

Day 3: Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and an unplanned trip back to Hollywood Studios. This is what I love about the park hopper pass. 3 parks in 1 day was EXHAUSTING but so much fun. We rode everything we wanted to and even snagged another dinner reservation at Roundup Rodeo. At Animal Kingdom we had a breakfast reservation for Tusker House- again this is a highly commended restaurant. It is an all you can eat buffet style service and the food is PHENOMENAL. This is a character dining experience so you get Mickey, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy dressed in their safari gear. We did the safari ride and got some up close views of a lot of the animals- and learned several interesting facts (like a Hippopotamus can outrun a Human on land). Our favorite ride here was Expedition Everest. We then jumped over to Epcot where we snacked on food from around the world, got to talk to Crush live and in the shell, and jumped into the world of Ratatouille on Remy’s Adventure. Then we conveniently jumped on the skyliner to go to Hollywood Studios for more of our favorite rides and food. This trip was so much fun and so busy, but we also made sure we had plenty of down time to rest. Today we are beginning our drive back to Texas and I may or may not be planning our next trip as we speak 🤩

Day 2 consisted of Hollywood Studios where one of our favorite rides is located! Hollywood Studios is where Toy Story Land is located, where you step into Andy’s backyard as a toy and everything around you is giant. We had dinner at Roundup Rodeo BBQ (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). This is an interactive restaurant where if they tell you Sid or Andy are coming you freeze…..and every single person stops what they’re doing and freezes so us toys don’t get caught! Plus the food is super yummy. After we left the park we ventured to Port Orleans French Quarter for some Mickey beignets and were surprised with our blankets laid out as bow ties upon entrance back to our room.

Part 1 of our first day.
Magic Kingdom was our first park. Stepping onto Main Street, USA felt like stepping directly into Halloweentown. Disney pays high attention to detail- with everything. It was was wonderful. We rode every single ride on our list with very minimal wait- no lightening lane added. We then realized we needed a different park bag…..so we ran back to the hotel, jumped in the car, and drove to the Vera Bradley outlet store. Vera Bradley has IDEAL park bags of all styles and sizes. After that we drove back to our resort and took a nap so we would be well rested for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party, which is a special ticketed event that runs until midnight.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. What makes this special are all the extra character meet and greets with characters wearing party exclusive outfits, all the trick or treating you can imagine, special character dance parties, an event exclusive firework spectacular, followed by another event exclusive show (featuring some pretty popular Disney Villians such as the Sanderson Sisters and more), and Mickey’s Boo to You parade….which again is event exclusive. One big perk of these types of events is that tickets are highly limited so you will have very little wait times on most rides. We got to walk on to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (Magic Kingdoms newest attraction) and this is a MUST ride.
