🌟 Tip #1: Before you leave home, check to see if there is a resort app for your smart phone.

Pro tip: It's helpful to download them ahead of time, and resorts with WiFi included often have their activity schedules online, as well as the ability to make restaurant and spa reservations.

🌟 Tip #2: To reduce the impact of lost luggage, pack half of your clothes in each other's checked bag. That way if one is lost, you each still have a few days of clothing until the bag is found.

🌟 Tip #3: Pack at least one swimsuit in your carry-on bag so you can enjoy the pool and beach before your bags get to your room.

🌟 Tip #4: Beach towels will be provided by the resort. There is no need to waste valuable packing space.

🌟 Tip #5: Pack an insulated tumbler with a lid (e.g., Yeti). The bartenders will wash it and make your drinks in there and your pina colada will stay frozen a lot longer!

🌟 Tip #6: If you are going on an excursion, do not bring camouflage to wear outside of the resort.

Pro tip: In most Caribbean countries, it is illegal for anyone other than their military members to wear camo.

🌟 Tip #7: There should be a retractable clothesline in your bathroom for hanging wet suits. Take some clothespins with you; you'll be able to get more on the line and they will dry faster not being folded on themselves.

🌟 Tip #8: Take a serious look at any rebooking promotion you're offered. If you decide to participate, please let me know; if they don't automatically credit me with your booking, we can get it transferred if you let me know right away. That way I can assist you with your next vacation!

🌟 Tip #9: Register with STEP using the Smart Traveler app.

Pro tip: This allows the U.S. Government to be able to find you and notify you in the event of an emergency. You can also look up the country to see what is allowed in the country and access the U.S. embassy contact information.

🌟 Tip #10: Take photos of your passport in case it gets lost or stolen, of the inside of your luggage with contents in case it gets lost, and where your vehicle is parked at the airport.
