When the hotel choosing, parks planning, dining reservations, my Disney linking and lightning lane discussing all come together and you get to watch
some of your favorites make incredible memories….😍. Two best friend couples, their children and 5 grandparents all traveled to Walt Disney World this past week. I absolutely loved seeing and hearing all about their trip while they were there! I always feel like I’m right there with them when they share special moments with me!
It was an absolute blast to help these girls plan their amazing trip!

The main resort we visited during the week was Hard Rock Punta Cana. I’ve had the opportunity to go to several all inclusive resorts over the last couple of years and this one was definitely a favorite of mine!
We were here 5 nights and usually by that time, we are growing tired of the food, activities, etc… this time we were not! I am not sure we ate the same thing twice! There were so many food options… the buffet, several restaurants including Italian, Mexican, and a steak house. There was a coffee bar, an ice cream shop with a ton of great flavor and topping options, a sandwich place, a burger bar and food trucks by the beach. We also had fajita nachos and chicken wings delivered to us while we were at the pool…by a man on a bicycle… carrying drinks on his head. If y’all visit, say hi to Ramon for us 🤣
They had a ton of activities throughout our stay including great shows, Kareoke, a bowling alley, shopping, a simulated car racing place, an arcade, and laser tag!
We also spent a little time in the casino… and by that I mean I brought in a certain amount and lost it within 15 minutes. It was a fun 15 minutes though. 🤣
There are 13 pools including a water park, lazy River, and adults only pool. They had a flow rider surf simulator as well. There were pools that were loud and fun and some that were small and quiet… something for everyone! The beach was absolutely breathtaking. The ocean was every shade of blue you can imagine! We enjoyed a morning at the spa that left me wanting to book a second day there as well. So relaxing.
I know this is a long post, but there was literally so much to do and see! I usually think cruising is easiest with kids but this resort was like a cruise ship on land. It was a blast and I definitely plan to return at some point!
If you’re looking for a great trip for the whole family… this is it!

We made it back from our awesome trip to Punta Cana! We had such a great time and were lucky enough to visit three resorts while there.
The first resort we visited was Dreams Onyx.
This is a family friendly resort with a ton to do for kids! It’s on a beautiful beach, has multiple pools including a lazy River and big water slides, and several food options! We ate at Bluewater Grill and all loved our steaks…and we are steak snobs, lol.
Dreams also has a coffee shop, an ice cream parlor, a build your own burger diner, and of course a buffet with something for everyone!
Although it’s a large resort for families we never felt crowded! It was very spaced out with enough pool space for everyone. I would say it was on the quieter side, at least it felt that way while we were there.
There’s a club for kids, a teen club and adults only areas. Anyone 18 and older has full access to Breathless next door which is for sure a more party, adults only vibe. I’ll post more on that resort! You can easily walk from one resort to the other! Two resorts for the price of one… not a bad deal! If you’re in the mood for loud and fun, head next door to Breathless. For more quiet and peaceful, spend your day at Dreams.
I would absolutely recommend this resort for families with small children and or teens! I also think it would be a great multigenerational family trip as the kids would have plenty to do during the day and at night, the adults could visit Breathless.
I’m a big fan of the Dreams resorts and this one did not disappoint! It is very clean, spacious, and has excellent service!

Hurricane Milton changed our plans a little. We were supposed to be heading home today but our layover was in Orlando. So again for the second time this year, we have an extra day to enjoy the beach. To the people watching my kids for me, I promise I don’t plan these things! 🤣 but thank you!
I’ve also had a beautiful view while taking care of my clients who needed to reschedule their trips because of the weather. I’ve worked in worse places!
Praying for all affected by the hurricane and grateful to be enjoying another sunny day in paradise. 💜

One of my absolute favorite things to do is get a way from all the crazy day to day for some time with this guy. It’s not something we did much in our younger years and we don’t take for granted that we are able to do so now more often. We also are extremely grateful for our family and friends who step in and help with our kids. 💙
Not only speaking as a travel agent, but as a wife…
If you are able to take time and spend it with your husband, do so.
It’s worth the hassle of getting everything lined out and worth every penny. 💙

Trip of the Week!!
A couple that has become some of my favorite clients will set sail tomorrow on Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas and sail across Europe!!

Magical Moments Monday!
Today’s magical moment comes from Maeci Bailey and her sweet family!
“Ohh how we love Disney!! Disney is something special to us and a place where we have created many memories with our family!! This last trip we got to experience Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. We hesitated not doing this party but Amanda talked us into it and 100% would do it again!! Festive food, candy, low wait times, Halloween fireworks show, and probably the best parade we have seen, the boo to you parade. We closed the park down at midnight and brought back bags and bags of candy!! It’s almost been a year and our kids constantly talk about it and are dying to go back.”

Trip of the week!
This week will include two trips! I always hear people say that Disney is just for little kids… I completely disagree as do the sweet couples that will both be going over the next couple of weeks with just each other!
One is headed out this week and will be staying at All Star Sports Resort and hitting the parks from sun up until sun down!
Another is heading out next week, celebrating their 20th anniversary! They are staying at The Grand Floridian Resort, stopping to dine at their favorite places, and then following it up with a three day Disney cruise on the Disney Wish!
They’ll visit Nassau, Bahamas and Disney’s Castaway Cay Island! What a dream! Fun in the parks and then relaxing at the beach!
I absolutely love that these couples take time to get away from it all and have fun together!
I wish them both a magical time!

I’ve had a fun, busy week of booking trips this week!
If you’re thinking it’s too late to get something booked for fall break, it’s not! And, on the flip side, if you think it’s too early to book your 2025 vacation, it’s also not!

🏖️A sweet couple will spend a few days in an amazing swim out room on a gorgeous beach at Secrets Akumal, a favorite of many of my clients! They leave at the end of the month!
🎆A lucky little boy will get to spend his fall break at Walt Disney World! He and his parents will be staying at All Star Music. They’ll have all the perks of staying onsite, transportation to every park and be immersed in the Disney magic bubble all for a very reasonable price! They leave in just a few weeks!
🎄A family of four will get to spend some time with Mickey right before Christmas! They’ll experience the 4 parks and have a very magical night at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! It’ll be the best way to kick off the holiday season! Believe it or not, Christmas is just around the corner! These little guys and their parents are in for such a treat!
🚢 Several members of an extended family will be sailing from Galveston to the Bahamas on the Carnival Dream! This is happening next summer so we have plenty of time to prepare for and plan an amazing trip!

It’s time for this week’s Magical Moments Monday!
One of the reasons I love to sell Disney vacations are these little moments. It’s the Disney difference. While we should never expect extras or be entitled to them, as they are not promised, it’s certainly amazing and special when they happen!
Today’s moment comes from Kami Buckner.
She and her family visited last summer and after riding Flight of Passage, her son Barrett found an Avatar souvenir he wanted but decided to wait and get it elsewhere. They realized the next day that this souvenir was only available in Animal Kingdom and they did not have another park day ticket to go back. Barrett was pretty disappointed. Kami and her husband Trey decided to go to the front desk of their resort and ask if there was anything that could be done to get this souvenir. They were hoping they could make a phone call or have a cast member grab one. But the kind cast member saw how disappointed he was and did one better! She gifted Trey and Barrett a special ticket to get back in to the park for the day and grab the souvenir themselves!
Barrett was so thrilled and Kami and Trey will always remember that special moment!
Look at that happy, cute little face!

Which would you rather do? Even if you’ve never been, which would you prefer?
A. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
Enter the park and encounter a spooky atmosphere with Main Street decorated with pumpkins and villains roaming around. Trick or treat throughout the park in your favorite costume and go home with a bag full of candy! Watch Mickey’s Boo to You Parade led by The Headless Horseman! Stop and see the Sanderson Sisters and their Hocus Pocus Villain Specatular. Ride Space Mountain in pitch black darkness with spooky music playing. And finish your night with Jack Skellington narrating Disney’s Not So Spooky Specatular, an amazing firework show that takes Mickey and his pals away to a haunted house!

B. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Step on to Main Street and be immersed in a magical Christmas atmosphere with a huge Christmas tree, lights on every building and snow falling throughout the night! Grab free hot chocolate and cookies around every corner….gingerbread, snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, a different cookie at every stop! Stand on Main Street and watch Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade… complete with the sights and even smells of the season! Snow falls as your favorite characters, dressed in their holiday best, dance and wave their way through the park…ending with the main man himself… Santa Claus!
Stop at the castle and watch Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, a festive show that defines the holidays… laughter, snowflakes and of course, our favorite Christmas songs! Ride a few rides that have a fun Holiday twist! And, finally, finish your night mesmerized by Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show where Minnie reminds us all what’s most important through this magical time of year.

I’m starting a new Monday night trend as well…
Magical Moments Monday!
The absolute best part of a Disney vacation is the magical memories you make. It’s hard to put in to words sometimes just how special these moments can be! Hearing about these have been one of the greatest rewards of this job. The cast members at Disney do a great job of making these moments happen and sometimes they happen organically as well. To get this rolling, I’ll share one of mine today but I would LOVE sharing yours over the next few weeks! When Katie was 8 years old, my dad booked she and I a reservation to do a really fancy tea party. If you didn’t know Katie at age 8, fancy wasn’t really a part of her style… 🤣 I opted not to purchase the bibbidi bobbidi boutique package (always trying to save a little money where I can) and brought a dress from home. Well, fancy isn’t really my style either and I’ve never been good at hair and make up. I remembered this that morning as I was trying my hardest to make her look like a Princess. When we headed to the party, we saw little girls left and right dressed to the max with glitter and Bobby pins galore. I wanted to cry because I felt so guilty that I didn’t just pay to have the makeover. She looked beautiful, no doubt, but it was clear it wasn’t professional. 🤣
We boarded a bus to get to the tea party and as we entered, the sweet bus driver stood up and announced “ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention? We have a real life princess on board this morning! Please give her a round of applause!” Everyone clapped, Katie blushed and waved, and I cried, lol. That man made Katie’s day, and her mama’s. We had a blast at the tea party and in true Katie fashion, she spilled a few things at the party and ended the day in a hoodie over her dress and tennis shoes. Money well saved 🙃
