This bear was a tough as the weather. Mother Nature hit us with everything mid afternoon. Rain, Snow, High winds that almost ripped our shelter off the mountain , and a few sun breaks.

We decided to toss the dst tarp in the pack and head further up the drainage to glass for the evening. Shortly after we hit the ridge to glass we relocated this beautiful jet black bear. We set up on him at 441 yards and hammered him with the 7PRC.

3rd bear taken in this nasty drainage and another late night under the stars packing meat!

Flashback to 2016, multiple trips to get this guy out. This was the last trip and boy was I glad. Well worth it though. Only had a couple of days until my third boy was due. Made it happen. Praise be god!
