About Us
Halal Safaris Africa was founded by Samia Omar Bwana, who has lived in and out of Africa for many years. Samia was the County Executive for tourism in Lamu, Kenya, and has trained at the Islamic Tourism Centre in Malaysia, and certified on “Halal Travel” by Crescentrating. She therefore has a deep knowledge on both on tourism in Africa as well as the halal tourism industry. Samia partnered with @swahiligal, a communication expert with a focus on raising awareness on African and swahili culture and history to curate experiences and destinations. Halal Safaris is passionate about providing an intimate and personal design for each trip and providing tailored services to tourism facilities and agencies.
