Having a great time on our riverboat cruise on the Columbia & Snake Rivers! Today, we visited the historic town of Pendleton, OR, and did an underground tour. A highlight was meeting 100 year old World War II B-25 pilot Robert "Bob" Stangier, who received The Distinguised Flying Cross.

Discovering Sandals Halcyon Beach: A Travel Agent's Site Inspection

Today, I did what in travel agent lingo is called a "site inspection" of Sandals Halcyon Beach in St. Lucia. This is a tour of the resort with the sales manager, Melissa. Since I've stayed at this resort before, we condensed it down to the new area called the Palm Village. The Palm Village consists of all butler category suites. I toured the top suite for you, which is the Halcyon Shore House Butler Suite with Private Pool. This suite is brand new and gorgeous. It is definitely beach front and has its own beautiful private pool. It's very spacious and open. It includes butler service and 24-hour room service. There are suites above, which are identical, except they do not have a pool, but a nice big romantic tub on the balcony instead. Behind these Halcyon Shore House Butler Suites are my favorite, the Koko Rondoval Butler Villas with Private Pool. These are conically shaped villas with a very luxurious feel. They have a private pool on the patio with an outdoor shower and a huge soaking tub. There is a high wall around the outdoor area, making them very private.

I am so happy! Today, I reached my goal of 10,000 steps per day for 183 days or half a year! I take my walking buddy; Baron von Tailwagger and he loves it. When he has a good walk (not barking at other doggies), he gets a treat, which he promptly hides in the corner of his bed. Doesn't he look guilty? 😳 Haha! Next goal is 250 days!
