Diamond Tooling Solutions, LLC was started by Troy Gertken in 2010 as a response to what he saw as the lack of technically-qualified CNC tooling sales professionals in the stone industry. As reliance on CNC technology replaced traditional production machinery, there was an experience and knowledge gap on how best to tool and use the new machines. Troy acted on his belief that fabricators needed a better resource for quality tooling backed by personal, hands-on CNC experience. Troy has many years of experience operating CNC machines and providing technical center training, applications engineering, and customer service functions while he was employed at an industry-leading manufacturer of stone fabrication machinery. He has unique insights on knowing what tooling works with which stone types, as well as what feeds and speeds will produce the best finishes. He’s been responsible for helping to train hundreds of fabricators on how to improve the quality of their end-products, reduce the time they spent processing parts and to help improve their shop’s bottom-line performance.
