In total, 121 Canadians will be competing, including 20 racers from BC that will make the journey down under!

BREAKING: In a surprise agreement, provincial race directors have agreed to allow faired recumbents in competitions across the province.
"Capable of speeds reaching well over 100km/h, we suspect many course records may fall," said one race director.
Triathlon BC is currently researching racking options for these enclosed vehicles.

BC GAMES: The BC Games, taking place in Maple Ridge, July 18 to 21, are open to racers with birth years between 2008 and 2010, and play host to mix of events, including:
Super Sprint Triathlon (400m Swim/ 10km Bike/ 3km Run)
Mixed Relay (Distances TBC)
Duathlon (1km Run/6km Bike/ 1km Run)
F1 Triathlon (200m Swim/ 4km Bike/ 1km Run)
Aquathlon (300m Swim/ 1km Run)
With only a few spots available for each of the 8 provincial zones, athletes need to qualify through designated events beginning May 5 at the Cherry Blossom Triathlon. More on the jump below.
