Tomorrow is reservation day 😁 here is a map to help clarify our accommodations that we offer. We have TWO places for accommodations.
1) ROOMS at our spacious home in Nitinaht Village-commonly the place to rent WHEN you are starting or finishing the west coast trail at Nitinaht Village
2) CABINS-located ON the WCT at the crabshack (south side of the Nitinaht Narrows km 32.5) commonly rented as you are hiking through to break up the distance between Tsusiaht falls and Cribbs and because you just love the crabshack and all us staff ☺️ 😉
Hope this helps clarify where the two different spots are 😁

If starting at Nitinaht and you would like to stay at the crabshack cabins the night before you are scheduled to start the west coast trail this is doable-you would need to do an afternoon orientation and hire our special water taxi to pick you up in the afternoon to bring you to the cabins. Call or email for details on pricing

Hello all, Shelley from the crabshack. We had a youth group have to cancel their trip to our cabins the weekend of June 23/23. Soooooo we have cabin availability for that weekend. Hiking, break your 17km (Cribbs-Tsusiaht)hike up and stay with us. We have tent deck space also. Not hiking come have a staycation with us.

Cant wait for the season to start up. Couple more weeks to go !! 😁

We have spacious room rentals in the community of Nitinaht which can be booked for the night before your WCT registration. We have cabin rentals at the crabshack on the West Coast trail, commonly booked for your stop over between Cribbs and Tsusiaht Falls. ***Not doing the trail that’s ok. You can still plan a little getaway to our neck of the woods. Contact us through messenger or website.

Stay with us

Operating the Water Taxi in the heart of the West Coast Trail for 40+ years. We NOW offer accommodations to rent at the Nitinaht Narrows (commonly known as km 32.5 at the Crab Shack-On the West Coast Trail). We are a family operated business taking extra care to make your West Coast experience an enjoyable memory to last a lifetime.

The accomodations we offer are 4 heated sleeping cabins and a covered deck for tents. Cabins sleep anywhere from 1-8 people. The tent deck can fit 1-3 tents depending on size of tents. Cabins range in price from $100-200/nightly. Tent space is $30/tent/night.

We offer Water Taxi services across the Nitinat Narrows. We also provide taxi services to and from the Village of Nitinat to the Trail entry at the Nitinat Narrows.
