Determined through comprehensive reviews from globetrotters throughout 2022, assessing more than 1.5 million hotels, the Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best Hotels catalogue has bestowed the coveted title of the world’s premier accommodation upon the illustrious Rambagh Palace in Jaipur.

The Rambagh Palace is a former royal palace that was built in 1835, then rebuilt in 1929. It has now been converted into a luxury hotel and offers guests a unique experience of Indian culture and hospitality. The hotel has 260 rooms and suites, all of which are decorated in traditional Indian style. Guests can also enjoy a variety of amenities, including a swimming pool, spa, and multiple restaurants.

TripAdvisor's ranking is based on reviews from travelers who have stayed at the hotel. The site praised the Rambagh Palace for its "impeccable service," "stunning architecture," and "indulgent spa." Travelers also appreciated the hotel's location, which is close to Jaipur's many attractions, including the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) and the Amber Fort.

Built in 1835 on a modest scale for the queen's favourite handmaiden Kesar Badaran, and later refurbished as a royal guesthouse and hunting lodge, the mansion was renamed Rambagh, after the then reining Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II.The Rambagh Palace beat out a number of other top hotels to take the top spot on TripAdvisor's list.
