Transanatolia Rally - 30th August to 6th September

Beyond excited to announce that for 2025, Desert Rose Racing are heading back to Turkey, for the Transanatolia Rally. This is an event that's been absent in our calendar for a few years now, so we're pleased that we'll be heading back this coming August. The Transanatolia Rally is a true epic rally event, with long, fast, flowing stages, an authentic bivouac each night, and riding that will allow you to experience some amazing trails, as well as scenic highlights through Turkey!

As the UK agent for this event, we're able to arrange your entry for you also, these are packaged with our transport and support, along with four nights accommodation through the event and a whole lot more. 2025 Morocco 1500 Entries are open!
Before the 2024 edition was even over, we had already started making plans for the 2025 edition of the Morocco 1500. This year we’ll be starting in Fes on the 11th October, and finishing in Marrakech on the 19th. In between will be an all new route for ’25, featuring more incredible landscapes, amazing riding, dunes, gorges and just about the best riding that Morocco has to offer. This is an event that was born out of the idea of wishing to showcase the incredible variety of riding, both on and off the tarmac, that Morocco has available, and we'd love to have you along with us later this year.

Hellas Rally 2025
25th May - 1st June

Possibly the most popular amateur rally-raid event in Europe, the Hellas Rally returns for 2025 in late May. This year the bivouac will be based in the south east of Greece, on the island of Evia. This promises new terrain, racing and riding with the same great roadbooks, landscapes and atmosphere that the Hellas Rally has become known for!

Our support vehicles will be leaving for the Hellas Rally mid may, and currently we still have a few assistance places left. So whether you're looking for an experienced, professional team that can look after your bike, or are in one of our rally rental bike packages, don't hesitate to get in touch. Morocco Desert Challenge
3rd to 12th April 2025

With the Dakar Rally finishing just a few days ago, the next big event in the calendar is the Morocco Desert Challenge. For some years now this has held the accolade of being the second biggest rally raid in the world, and it is a huge, fantastically run event, with some incredible riding and racing for all those that take part.

This is an eight day event, and a true challenge for all those that make the start! This year we have an all new route for the events 10th anniversary edition! Starting in Agadir, on the Atlantic coast, we head further south than ever before, and then finishing near Ouarzazate, over 3000km later.

For 2025 we've got a great team already heading over, but do still have a few places left for our assistance, along with one FIM spec rally rental available! We've been attending Morocco Desert Challenge for many years now, and have a lot of experience at this event, and can help you achieve your dream of crossing the finish line!

Red Bull Romaniacs - 22nd to 26th July

Red Bull Romaniacs, possibly the most famous Hard Enduro event in the calendar, is back for it's 22nd Edition in 2025. Named the 'GameChanger' by the organisation, we see new, never seen before classes at this years event. This is an event like no other, featuring some of the toughest riding out there, it provides a real challenge for all those that take part and an experience you're unlikely to ever forget! Especially if you're planning on tackling either the new electric or adventure bike classes...

We've been attending the event for many years now, both as an assistance team, and as competitors ourselves, enabling us to give you the very best support, from the moment you sign up to when you cross the finish line!

For 2025 we're providing our fully featured assistance options, along with rental bike packages. The latter are made up of the use of one of our 'Romaniacs Ready' Beta enduro bikes, packaged together with our factory assistance.

It's no secret that the Olympia Rally is one of our favourite events in the calendar, the combination of fantastic riding, amazing scenery and a great atmosphere makes it an ideal choice for rally riders new and old to the sport. The Olympia Rally always deliver on a brilliant weeks riding and racing.

For 2025, Desert Rose Racing are running/supporting three main events in Morocco, with an option to suit almost all abilities of rider, whether you're brand new to the desert or an experienced rally rider...

Desert Boot Camp - 23rd to 30th March
We've been running our Desert Boot Camps since 2017, and over the last 8 years they've been the introduction to the desert for many an aspiring international adventure and rally rider. Packaged including transport of your own bike and to the desert, six days riding with our guidance, accommodation and a whole lot more. If you've got aspirations of riding in Morocco, this is the week for you.

Morocco Desert Challenge - 3rd to 12th April
Now the second biggest rally raid event in the world, the Morocco Desert Challenge has become one of the halo events in the rally calendar. In April we head to Agadir for the start of the 10th anniversary edition, with an all new route for this year, heading further south than the MDC ever has before. Desert Rose Racing still have a few spots available for our rally assistance options on this brilliant event.

Morocco 1500 - 11th to 19th October
2024 saw the launch of our very own 'Raid' event, the Morocco 1500. We had the pleasure of introducing 45 riders to the wonders of Morocco, travelling over 1500 kilometres from Marrakech to Fes! With both 'Trail' and 'Tarmac' options available, this is an epic adventure suitable for all. Entries will be opening for this at the end of next week!

Rally Raid, back to the beginning.

A few days ago was the premiere of '100 Kicks in the Desert', the Brake Magazine film replicating some of the earliest years of the Dakar rally... Taking two 40+ year old, kick start only, Yamaha XT500s to the desert, stripping back much of the support and backup that the sport has become used to now, and doing what we could to really capture the spirit and adventure of those pioneering days of rally-raid.

Desert Rose Racing were asked by our friends at Brake Magazine to put together a route that would help capture as much of the variety of the desert as we could, to take care of the logistics around getting bikes and kit to Morocco, along with a support vehicle to facilitate the carrying of equipment and crew. In October, our vehicles headed south towards the Sahara once again, for an epic week of making a film about those early days...

Those of you that weren't able to make it to the launch event in London will be able to watch it in just a few days on YouTube. What's been created by Llel and the Brake Magazine team is in our eyes really quite special, and hopefully you'll all think the same.

Desert Rose Racing - 2025 Rally Raid Calendar
With the 2024 season starting to come to an end, what better time to start planning your 2025 international off-road adventures? This year has been incredible with the Desert Rose team helping riders with all levels of experience achieve their rally goals. Whether it's been a first rally for attendees of the Olympia Rally, adventure riders looking for their next challenge in the Illyria Raid, or experienced rallyists hoping to cross the finish line at the Morocco Desert Challenge, this season has seen us support over 100 riders, and help them all to get one step closer to achieving their dreams of crossing the finish line at the end of their chosen event.

2025 sees the return of popular events in our calendar, some that have been there for many years, along with the return and addition of a few others. Looking to make the jump to international events next year? We recommend taking a closer look at the Olympia Rally, a fantastic, friendly and well supported event. Dreaming of racing through the desert? The Tuareg Rally has been the first desert event for many riders, and for '25 is back in the calendar! Fancying something a little more technical? The infamous Red Bull Romaniacs could be the event for you...We'll be sending out more information about these events over the coming months, and there may even be a few additions to the calendar as it currently sits!

Back in September we took a team of riders to Ioannina for this years edition of the Greece Rally, it was a great week for all that took part, and this year we had a real mixture of riders forming the Desert Rose paddock. From some first time rally participants, along with some veterans of this event and several others... The Greece Rally (and its sister event, the Olympia Rally) are favourites in our calendar for their ability to appeal to nearly all levels of rider, whether you're just starting out in the sport or super experienced!

One of the DRR team, Oliver Wheeler, filmed a bunch of content through the seven days racing and has produced the video at the link below. Grab a tea, coffee, beer or just about anything else and give it a watch for some more insight on to what taking part in a 7 day, international event is like! Thanks Oli!

Morocco 1500 - 2024 Edition - Marrakech to Fes
In Marrakech, 45 riders arrived for the start of the first edition of our Morocco 1500 event, seven days and over 1500km later, nearly all of them made it to the finish line in Fes. The Morocco 1500 was born out of wanting to share the stunning riding, incredible landscapes and variety in all of this, plus giving participants a chance to experience some of the amazing cultures of Morocco as they travel through, either via our off-road ‘Trail’ category, or via ‘Tarmac’. Each providing an amazing adventure, and experiences that are unlikely to be forgotten any time soon! Enjoy this last set of finish line photos, once again shot by the amazing Alessio Corradini!
A big thank you to all our first time participants, this has been a huge amount of work through the year, by all of the Desert Rose team, and we are hugely grateful to each and every one of you for making the first edition such a brilliant event!

Morocco 1500 - Day Seven - Midelt to Fes
For the final day on the Morocco 1500, riders had to complete 285km from Midelt to Fes, and we’d saved some of the best riding until last! After descending from the final plateaus that make up this section of the Atlas, riders headed towards the forests of Khenifra. An almost alpine region, famously home to Moroccos monkeys, and a stark contrasts from the seas of sand and desert plains that they’d crossed earlier in the week! Arriving into Fes was a bitter-sweet moment for many, stoked with their achievement for finishing the event, mixed with a sadness that tomorrow there was no more riding to do…. 1500km, from Marrakech to Fes, taking in some of the best riding Morocco has to offer, complete.

Morocco 1500 - Day Six - Merzouga to Midelt
Merzouga to Midelt, day six was the day that riders turned their bikes north and left the desert behind them. It’s also the longest day in this years edition of the Morocco 1500, with trail riders having 385km to complete! Starting in Merzouga we rode round the dunes of Erg Chebbi one last time before heading to Erfoud on the fast and historically used ‘Dakar’ piste, and then onto Boudenib. From here we gained altitude as we climbed into the Atlas Mountains once again, before finishing the other side of the summit, in the mountain town of Midelt. This was a big day for all, but once again, all riders made it to the end of the day, an amazing achievement by all!

Morocco 1500 - Day Five - Merzouga to Merzouga
Merzouga is the halo location for many adventure motorcyclists that visit Morocco, home to the famous Erg Chebbi, a large sea of dunes formed by wind blown sand that are approximately 28km long, and up to 7km wide. Day five was a chance for many participants to have their first taste of riding in the magic of the dunes, along with some time to relax, and explore the local area. Our Tarmac riders took a cruise up to Rissani, and visited Gara Medouar, the location for Blofelds hide out in the Bond film Spectre! Trail riders finished off the day with something most of them will remember for a lifetime… Watching the sunset from the top of Erg Chebbi’s highest dune, Cathedral. What a day.

Morocco 1500 - Day Four - Zagora to Merzouga
Merzouga to Zagora is one of the most well known rally pistes in this history of rally raid, from the pioneers of the sport in the late 70s and 80s, the Paris Dakar, and even the modern day events such as Morocco Desert Challenge and the Africa Eco Race, many rally riders have traversed across this famous stretch via one route or another. Today all taking part on the Morocco 1500 ran this route from Zagora to Merzouga. Usually for most riders this is an enjoyable, fast and flowing stretch with little in the way of technical challenges… However this time, with the incredible recent rains in Morocco, this wasn’t the case! We had last minute route diversions, river crossings and deep mud to get our 40 riders through.
