Periquito Adventures & Travel - The “Scoop”!
To understand Periquito Adventures & Travel, you first need to know the story of Susie and Morgan Langley. Married for nearly 30 years, Susie and Morgan traveled the world together, making life-long friendships, collecting memories, and photographing some of the most scenic and magical places they could find.
Morgan was larger than life... not just a loving husband, but also a former Marine, an Italian car enthusiast, a motorcycle rider and racer, and a photographer. In fact, he raced on a Mexican racing team in Baja California for a number of years, which is where he got the nickname “Periquito” (Spanish for “little parrot,” because he could talk… A LOT!). Sadly, a tragic traffic accident took Morgan’s life in September of 2017. In the months that followed, Susie founded Periquito Adventures & Travel in his honor. Her mission is to lift up his memory by sharing their wanderlust with all who wish to experience it for themselves.
As Susie continues to heal and begins to author the next chapter of her life, her focus is clearly on gratitude and giving back. Her mission is twofold: 1) Help others to understand that tomorrow is not promised... retirement is not guaranteed... so, live NOW, travel NOW, and thrive NOW. 2) Traveling obliterates stereotypes, builds friendships, tears down walls, and heals your heart and soul.
Susie’s first trip to Africa in March of 2018 was transformational, as she developed relationships with several of the local people that will last a lifetime. It was her catalyst to launch Periquito Adventures & Travels with the aim at healing hearts and building friendships one epic adventure at a time.
She specializes in small-group experiential travel designed to deliver opportunities that you simply cannot get with independent or large-group travel. Susie does all the legwork for you to create a safe, organized, fun, and flexible way to see the world, make your own friendships, and feed your soul.
