Who knows what is very about this ? Clear pale gold. Med+ acidity, intense notes of apple, pear, lemon curd, vanilla custard, caramel, white flowers, hint of sherry. Palate shows intense notes of baked apple, baking spice, caramel, roast pear, vanilla, cream, toast. Great balance flavors well integrated, acid balanced with the richness. Developing, but still has great aging potential. Outstanding wine.

#2008 intense notes of brioche, almond paste, lemon curd, caramel, ginger, white flowers, baked apple and pear follow through on the palate. Rich and full bodied, round in the mouth with crisp acidity balancing the creamy rich fruit and spice. Absolutely outstanding wine.

This is awful. I'm a historian by training and museums and cultural experiences are always places that I visit when I travel. Another reminder that we need to do more to support, protect and most importantly responsibly visit and enjoy national heritage sites.

How is this the last night? Ending with a great of medium ruby intense nose of rasperry, cassis, cherry, red plum, mint, vanilla, smoke, cinnamon, cedar carry through to a very long finish. Bright acidity balanced by silky tannin. Very good

1er Cry 'Les Garennes' Rijckaert 2005 medium gold, intense nose of lemon, mint, honey, lemon curd, creme brulee, pear, dried apple, toast, vanilla, ginger. Outstanding and still with plenty of life left. Good acidity, lively fruit, long warm finish, well balanced and intense.

1er Cry 'Vaucoupin' Poitout 2015. Pale lemon, intense nose of lemon, lime, lemongrass, lemon curd, slate, hints of candied citrus and vanilla custard. Med body, high acidity, developing. Very good wine. Can age but is drinking beautifully right now. Well balanced, complex intense long finish.
