Welcome to your cabin in the clouds!

This is the log cabin you have always dreamed of spending time in with your friends, family or in complete seclusion. Its great for all vacationers who love a few trees! The Blessed Cloud is nestled in a private community in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, only minutes away from countless local attractions and towns that offer a unique array of activities, wineries, restaurants, and endless shopping.

Spend some time relaxing with plenty of room for everyone. There are two large bedrooms, two full bathrooms (the master bedroom has its own bathroom), a full kitchen, large common area with hide-a-bed and a BBQ deck for outdoor grilling near the kitchen door. Our back porch is the best in the land with close-up lake views and opportunities to spot some interesting wildlife. Don’t get my dad started about the spotted woodpecker that “only lives at the cabin.”

The name “The Blessed Cloud” is actually a family tease.

Our log cabin, built by my dad, JD, has been a tranquil and inviting getaway house since 2005. Mom and Dad spent a year designing their dream on paper. Another year was spent building it just outside of La Grange, TX. Dad spent almost as much money staying in hotels and eating at restaurants as he did on building the cabin from 2004-2005! HA! Reason is, he wanted to be there every step of the way as the dream was being realized. I even think I remember him saying that he often enjoyed karaoke night, as an observer only, after a long day of working at “the site.”
