ANCESTORS. My Uncle Brian loved his country and traveled often. We were born on the same day. I remember him taking me all over when I was in Guyana. I remember him walking down the aisle of a really big church holding a BIG CROSS and me shouting out in excitement,"Fat Boi." Gramma Elaine would pull my hand and say,"No you can't call him he's serving now." Brian was the best Altar boy ever.

There were many times I told him I would make a trip with him, but never did. As I sit in this house, vague memories swirl in my mind, but one I remember clearly is uncle Brian sitting on the top of steps late night with me drinking tea and eating Tennis rolls with cheese. I feel his presence every night as I sit outside and eat our Tennis roll. I call his name and I speak with him.

Uncle B was excited about traveling home again, he was planning and had his ticket booked. I believed he did travel on his scheduled date but to his eternal home. Who knew?

I encourage you to love hard and if you can, keep your promises.

Every morning I gaze into the empty lot that was once my Uncle's and Cousin's home, not once realizing amongst the tall grass.and weeds lie the treasure of sugar canes left behind. I'm told it can be bagged and sold for great profit. $$$

TIMING is EVERYTHING.

Seems like timing is so relevant in this home. You have to time the water to shower, if I wait too late then it's a good ole bucket bathe OR outside at the make shift shower.

Then I had to Time the weather to wash, so the sun can dry these THREE pieces of clothing.

Gotta run fam, it looks like rain is coming.

My gramma Elaine made it look so easy.

I kept seeing people with these bags. They're called LOCAL JUICE.

Some are served in a cup or a plastic bag. My cuzzo brought me back a FRESH MANGO juice in a bag with my straw. Simple right? NOPE. Now I had to strategically bite a hole in the plastic big enough for the straw but small enough NOT to cause a spill which would immediately invite a stampede of ANTS.

All I know is NOTHING I ever tasted that was sold commercially from ANY factory EVER taste so good.

I underestimated this little bag, it was more quantity than I thought, but I enjoyed every DELICIOUS sip.
