Reports coming in that Allure Of The Seas is returning to Port Everglades to perform a medical evacuation. Reports also say a bad leg fracture. Not sure which leg.

Carnival Cruises is cancelling three upcoming cruises on Galveston based Carnival Vista to perform repairs to an technical issue affecting the vessel's maximum cruising speed. Carnival Vista will most likely take a trip to BAE Systems in Mobile Alabama for the repairs. Carnival Vista passengers on the cancelled cruises are receiving a full refund as well as a 100% future cruise credit equal to the amount of the cost of the cruise on Carnival Vista. Passengers who are flying in for the cruise are receiving USD $200 per person to cover cancellation fees. Refunds are automatically given as well for Fun Shop Purchases as well as excursions sold by Carnival.

The issue is coming from one of the vessels 8 Diesel Generators and the decision was made to temporarily withdraw the vessel from service. Carnival expects the vessel to be repaired and back in Galveston by the 2nd week of July to return back to service.

Carnival Vista is the 1st of three ships in the Vista Class and is the lead ship in the Vista Class. Carnival Vista entered service in May 2016 and moved to her new home in Miami in November 2016 and recently last November moved to Galveston TX. Carnival Horizon took over Vista's Miami sailings. Carnival has one more ship in the Vista Class currently under construction at the Fincantieri Monfalcone shipyard in Italy.

It's rare for a technical issue of this magnitude to disrupt sailings like this. The propulsion plant is not allowing the Azipods to perform as they should.

To the 7 clients, I have booked on the Transatlantic Crossing onboard Oasis Of The Seas for April 22nd, 2019.

Royal Caribbean has canceled the sailing due to damage done to the vessel in dry dock at Freeport Grand Bahama Shipyard.

You will receive additional information from Royal Caribbean regarding refunds and the 100% future cruise credit. I've been in contact with Royal Caribbean regarding Oasis Of The Seas.
