Najdaljša gorska stena v Sloveniji in Julijskih Alpah, Loška stena, leži v osrednjem delu Triglavskega narodnega parka, med Bavšico in Loško Koritnico. Stene teh dvatisočakov Julijskih Alp so lepo vidne iz Loga pod Mangartom, od koder se vrhovi dvigujejo več kot 1000 m visoko. Lep pogled nanje pa se odpre tudi s ceste na prelaz Predel. Greben Loške stene je dolg 5 km in poteka od Plešivca preko najvišjega vrha Briceljka (2346 m) do Krnice. (Bovec.si)

The longest mountain face in Slovenia and in the Julian Alps, Loška stena, is situated in the heart of the Triglav National Park, between valleys of Bavšica and Loška Koritnica. The slopes of these over 2000 meters high mountains are clearly visible from village Log pod Mangartom, from where summits rise for 1000 m and higher. Beautiful view towards Loška stena opens also from the road towards Predil mountain pass. The 5 km ridge runs from Mt. Plešivec to the highest summit of Mt. Briceljk (2346 m) to Krnica. (bovec.si)

The ascend to Triglav is no joke. No matter which starting point you choose, the route will be long and in the upper part very exposed, full of stemples and steel cables. Čeprav nam sneg nemalokrat povzroča težave na cestah, v prometu in tudi drugje, se ob pogledu na take fotografije vsi strinjamo, da zna prepričati tudi v nasprotno. Spomnimo se zimskih radosti, ko z nasmehom na obrazu izdelujemo sneženega moža, ali ko tako nepričakovano nekoga presenetimo z napadom snežnih kep. Ja, sneg definitivno prebudi tudi tistega majhnega otroka v nas, na katerega v tem norem svetu velikokrat pozabimo. Še kdo komaj čaka, da bo letos pred hišo napravil velikega sneženega moža? 😉⛄️

Even if snow is often causing problems on the roads, in traffic and elsewhere, we can all agree, that it can convince us otherwise when we look at such photographs. Let us remember winter fun, when we, with a smile on our face, make a snowman, or when we unexpectedly surprise somebody with the attack of snowballs. Yes, snow definitely awakens that little child in us, who we often forget about in this crazy world. Who else can't wait to make a big snowman in front of the house this year? 😉⛄️
