Catch Me if You Can typography sequence
Had a discussion today about the quality of typography in movies. "Catch Me if You Can" by Nexus Productions, for me, is the best. #design #typography #film
This pen by Tokyo-based startup AgIC can transmit electricity with its silver ink! You can see it in action in this inexplicably soothing video by Japanese infrastructure company, Kandenko. Watch as this 3D miniature paper town comes to life when the pen simultaneously conducts electricity as the lines are drawn. Cool!
It's Throwback Thursday and we want to share another great opening movie sequence, this time from the 2005 feature film "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang".
"Stylish and witty, this clever sequence has it's tongue planted firmly in its cheek," Joe Stone says. "Borrowing heavily from Saul Bass' iconic style, the wonderful animation employs a bold colour scheme and great typography to playfully poke fun at the film-noir genre while still giving a brief overview of the story and locations the film takes place in. It's a perfect match for the funny and intelligent film." Hats off to sequence designer Danny Yount! #tbt #film #typography #design
This clever campaign by Second Life Toys in Japan provides old toys with donated limbs to educate kids about organ transplants. The best part is that you can join the campaign by donating your own unwanted toys. You’ll even receive a letter from the “recipient” plushie telling you how your donation has helped to improve their lives. Cool! http://bit.ly/1qy6yXD #campaign #toys #design
