Jwalamukhi: - The temple is identified as one among the 51 Shakti Peethas of Sati and believed that tongue of Sati had fallen in this place at the time of Dakshyagna. As believed, due to Godess Sati’s tongue which evolves flames of fire has been converted into a Kund (a square like shape with a minimal depth) which lies at the centre of the temple. The flames of the Kund overpowers milk and water poured on the Kund. As seen by eyes, when the Kund liquid is stable burning flames appear above the milk and water. Once the Kund liquid is steered by means of adding some milks or Holi water the flames disappear and comes back once Kund milk or water settles. As per the popular belief this happens due to some super-natural power. Lakhs of deities visit this holy temple through the year and offer prayers. This is the one of the most ancient temples of Kangra where Puja and Rituals are done presently. Footfall is too high and one may have to wait 2-3 hours in a Q to get inside the temple and see the Kund.

Bathu ki Ladi: - Although the name seems little funny and no can relate to an Ancient temple by this name, but the rock temples are standing for more than 3000 years, as per local belief.
The “Pandavas” went on deportation and hiding for 13 years after they lost the great gambling of Hastinapur with the “Kauravas”. The gigantic background of Dhauladhar Mountain Range at the foothills of Shivalik Mountain range on the flow of Beas River made “Pandavas” in exile to make the place home for few years. So they decided to stay here for some time. During their stay “Pandavas” erected temples to worship Lord Shiva, Goddess Kali, Lord Ganesha and Lord Krisha. The temple got submerged under water in 1970 when Pong Dam was commissioned to check flood in the planes of Punjab and Himachal. Despite the fact that the temple remains under water for eight months in a year for last fifty years no major damage has been found in the row of six temples. Even no underwater vegetation is found on the temples walls due to a special stone used to construct those temples locally named as “Bathu”. The “Bathu” stone is believed to sustain wears and tears for thousands of years. The name “Bathu ki Ladi” or “Bathu temples” gets the name from Bathu stones which had been used to construct this temple.
No Puja and rituals are done in “Bathu ki Ladi”. When Temples are above the water seen and accessible by boat some locals perform P**a by offering garlands and sweets (Ladoo) but no regular Puja is done is Bathu and there is no priest either.
Overall, Bathu Temples are visual excitement to every visitor who love to visit this place. Over and above Bathu can only be reached by a boat cruise which makes this journey to this place most remarkable. The Dhauladhar Range clearly looks majestic from Bahtu.
Bathu ki Ladi is 55 KM from Pathankot Railway Station.
