WOOHOO! Alaska 2025 will be available for booking soon! Most exciting is that we will have a ROUND TRIP LOS ANGELES SAILING. I will definitely get group space for this when it becomes available! Let me know if you are interested in joining the group!!

SEVEN SHIPS, 18 UNIQUE ITINERARIES, 27 CRUISETOURS – GET READY TO BLOCK YOUR SPACE!
HI EVERYONE!
Alaska 2025 promises to be our most exciting season yet and it’s going on sale Thurs., Aug 3 to the general public (Elite Captain's Circle members can book Aug 2 with an exclusive early booking window.) And what better cruise line to visit the Great Land with than Princess – named Best Cruise Line in Alaska by Travel Weekly NINETEEN TIMES!
Cruises: More guests choose Princess in Alaska than any other cruise line and it’s no wonder why. In 2025, we have our signature top-rated Voyage of the Glaciers sailings as well as Inside Passage sailings from Seattle, Vancouver, B.C. and San Francisco, as well as these new offerings:
Ultimate Alaska cruises: We’ve crafted new itineraries with more glaciers and visits to lesser-traveled ports like Homer, Valdez and more. Enjoy a 22-day roundtrip voyage sailing from San Francisco that coincides with the Summer Solstice or a 17-day roundtrip cruise from Seattle. Both voyages include at least three days of glacier viewing.
Roundtrip Los Angeles returns: Back by popular demand, we’ll feature a 16-day Inside Passage sailing roundtrip from Los Angeles that visits Glacier Bay National Park and five ports of call, including Sitka and Icy Strait Point.
Cruisetours: We have 27 cruisetour options, ranging from 10 to 17 nights, each combining a 7-day Voyage of the Glaciers cruise with multiple nights on land in the heart of Alaska, stays at Princess-owned wilderness lodges and most including exclusive Direct-to-the-Wilderness® scenic rail travel. And we’ve introduced a new National Parks cruisetour that includes an opportunity to visit FIVE National Parks on one itinerary (also available in 2024).
Captain's Circle Savings: Don’t forget, if your clients are Princess Captain’s CircleSM members, they’re also eligible to receive extra savings of up to $100 per person when they book by October 31, 2023.

No more isolation in sick bay? Yay!
“New guidelines have dropped the isolation period to five days for asymptomatic close contact passengers who are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations, including any boosters for which they are eligible. Asymptomatic close contacts who are not up to date with their vaccines should still be quarantined for 10 days.
Quarantine and isolation periods begin the first full day after the passenger's last exposure to a positive case. Viral tests must be performed on the first and last day of quarantine, and passengers may only be released from isolation if both tests are negative.
Isolation and Quarantine Can Be Reduced or Replaced With Daily Viral Testing
Additionally, cruise operators are now able to exercise discretion in how they handle isolation and quarantine periods.
In lieu of five days of required quarantine, cruise lines can instead choose to administer daily viral testing to asymptomatic close contacts who are fully up to date with their vaccinations.
However, these passengers must take all meals in their cabins, wear properly-fitting masks at all times when not in their cabins and if anyone, such as crew, family or friends, enters their cabin.
Cruise operators also may now reduce isolation periods for asymptomatic close contact passengers who are not up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations by five days, instead opting for a hybrid approach of five days of isolation followed by five days of daily viral testing. Once released from quarantine, these passengers will be required to follow the same masking and stateroom dining as above.”

This is a post from a friend who is an American Airlines pilot -
Sad that this is the best and only advice I can give these days............
Copied from a colleague…Great advice…
If you are flying anywhere this month, on any airline…
Pack snacks and PB&Js, bring a refillable water container, portable charger for your phone, bring a cheap light extension cord with a power strip or outlet tripler for charging in a place where there are very few outlets, a deck of cards or UNO, download extra movies on iPad, if you have wireless headsets also bring old school plug in type, bring a light blanket, go to the airport 1 extra hour earlier than you would have, bring your patience, and a mask. If you must travel with kids, go to Dollar Store and buy new toys they have never seen, give them these during delays. You can also buy the blow up arm floaties, to use as pillow or lumbar support for your back. Small portable fan or paper fan. A tennis ball to use to massage you aches.
Airlines don’t supply pillows or blankets anymore. There is no food onboard to buy or give, usually there is not enough beverages for 2nds.
Fill your water bottle in airport, or buy a bottle. There is not enough bottled water onboard to fill your container, nor are we allowed to fill it.
If you are booked on last flight of the day, be prepared that you might end up spending the night in airport.
Do not check your medicine or keys in your luggage.
Bring a Pen!! You may have to fill out forms, or need to write down info.
I have been in this business for 30 yrs and I have NEVER seen it this crazy! Every airline is short staffed, gate agents are working alone at gates for oversold flights, the wait times to get through to reservations are 3+ hours. Restaurants and stores can’t get people to work. Super long lines everywhere. LOTS of mechanical issues, weather, staffing issues none of which is due to frontline employees. They are as frustrated as you are. They are EXHAUSTED! This has been happening to them EVERY DAY for over a month, with no relief insight.
So I am asking you to BE VERY KIND TO EVERYONE. It’s always appreciated. We always bring treats, whatever they may be to the agents and flight attendants.
DON'T bring your pets if you don’t have to.

Amazing Princess. Letter to the Crew during this CoronaVirus on the Diamond Princess.

"The letter signed by Jan Swartz, Group President of Princess Cruises and Carnival Australia, reads:

“We are deeply grateful and incredibly proud of all of you. We understand that each of you are under great stress in this extraordinary situation, and we hope you are taking some time to speak with your family and friends - as well as reaching out to our Crew Assistance resources.

We have been working to determine how we can best support you once we are past this difficult time. You deserve, and will need, a break. So, we offer you two months of paid time off. This will include your salary and any average gratuities you may normally receive.

We strongly encourage you to use the paid time off for much needed rest. If you decide to leave when the quarantine and later choose to rejoin a ship before the two months pass, you will still receive this extra pay.

In addition, all reasonable charges to your onboard account for this voyage will be cleared. You will not incur any other charges during the quarantine period.

We will also handle your flights to return home and your job will be protected to return for another contract.

We learn more information every day, and we appreciate your patience as we do our best to keep you informed. Your colleagues across the fleet and all of us ashore send you our ongoing support and thanks.”
