What is Glutenfree Travelbee?
I am Charlotte, a Norwegian world traveler. I started my travel journey 16 years ago. Two of those years I ventured around the globe with undiagnosed Celiac disease. An additional 7 of those years with a diagnosis at hand. I am proof that gluten is no hindrance for discovering the wonders of the world!
Since I ventured out into the exciting world, I have passed through a lot of countries. I have been in places with great language barriers, such as China, and places with limited exposure to Celiac disease, such as North Korea. I have lived in countries where soy sauce is a primary cooking ingredient, such as the Philippines, and in countries where living gluten free is a life style choice. Some places have been incredible to eat in (gluten safety wise), while others have been a true health gamble. The common denominator through it all has been the determination to not let gluten set the perimeters of where to go next.
On this site, you will find genuine tips and recommendations. These are all unsolicited as I would at no point put anyone’s health at risk. At the same time, these are based on my own experiences. For restaurants I have not gone into a detailed reviewing as my pallets may be different from yours. The primary focus is to show you options wherever you are heading of places that understand gluten.
