FIRST TIME RENTAL – RUSTIC 2-BEDROOM CABIN ON THE GOULAIS RIVER - NOW BOOKING FOR SUMMER 2024

Whether you want to simply relax and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine or take advantage of the amenities in our beautiful, little corner of the world, you will love our family-oriented hideaway, situated on a quiet dead-end road.
We are right on the Goulais River providing access to boating, swimming, and excellent fishing opportunities.
Goulais River Community
Goulais River is a friendly classic Northern Ontario community at the edge of the Canadian Shield, less than 30 minutes from Sault Ste. Marie. The property is approximately 5-to-10 minutes from restaurants, country stores (with ice cream), and the LCBO. Hiking, biking, and trails are all nearby, including the beautiful Robertson Cliffs majestic hike and stunning views.
Waterfront Access
The property is located directly on the Goulais River with a beautiful wooden walkway to a wooden sitting area on the top of the bank of the river. The river is shallow to allow easy entry and swimming right of the bank of the river. A 10-minute boat ride takes you to the mouth of the river and an amazing sand beach on Goulais Bay in Lake Superior.
The rental includes a small dock and use of a boat launch on the adjacent property (same owners). The dock area and boat launch are best for boats in the 12’ – 16’ size range.
Large Yard
The approximate ½ acre property includes a large lawn, beautiful trees, partially shaded areas, and a small fire pit area near the river for beautiful evening bonfires under the stars.
Modern Rustic Cabin
The cabin is bright with an open living room / kitchen layout with a small table and sitting bar. The cabin has a wrap-around deck with a covered porch on the river side to allow you to enjoy riverfront views regardless of the weather. The 600-700 square foot cabin accommodates 4 people in the 2 bedrooms, with brand new beds and includes a 3-piece bathroom with a full-size tub/shower.
The rustic kitchen is fully equipped with a stainless-steel side-by-side full-size refrigerator / freezer and a stove and ceramic cooktop. The camp also has an apartment-size washer and dryer for your convenience.
Heating
The camp has both a brand-new Renai gas furnace and electric baseboard heaters. There is a wood stove for aesthetics, but is not available for use during summer months.
Pets
Friendly, well behaved, and house-trained dogs are allowed (maximum of 2) with a damage deposit that will be refunded.
No smoking
Smoking is not allowed.
Rental Periods
Please call to discuss rental between October 2024 to May 2025.
Check-in / Check-out
Check in time is 4PM and check out is 10AM.
Included Items
Keurig / coffee pot, kettle, microwave, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, coffee mugs, glasses, cutlery, serving spoons, casserole dishes, dish cloths, tea towels.
We will provide an initial supply of toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags.
Television and DVD player. CD player and large selection of music CDs. Board games.
Propane BBQ and one tank of propane. Outdoor table and chairs.
Things to Bring
Towels - for bath and beach
Bathroom - toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc.)
Sunscreen and bug spray
Beach toys, outdoor games.
Rental Agreement
Rental Agreement is required to be signed, upon booking.
50% deposit for weekly stay required at time of booking. Remaining 50% required on check-in. Payments via email money transfer only.
