As long as I can remember, I (Jeff The Wanderer) have had an interest in both travel and photography. As a youth, that meant family road trips to visit relatives and local photo workshops for kids. As an adult, those interests have sparked a lifestyle of exciting adventures and plenty of beautiful photos to help us remember each trip. Several years ago, I learned how airline miles and hotel points
can drastically reduce the price of travel, and since then I've been honing my skills and earning as many miles and points as possible. Our family loyalty accounts regularly have a couple of million miles and points in them, and over the past few years, those miles and points have taken us all over the world. From Paris to Rio and from Anchorage to Koh Samui, there is consistently at least one new trip on the horizon and we are always happy to share exciting stories from the places we've been. Along with these trips comes an amazing opportunity to capture the world around us wherever we are. I never travel without a camera and often have two or three in various pockets or around my neck. Since it happens so often, our family has adopted a policy of continuing on the way when I stop to compose a shot. They know that I will only be a minute or two and since my legs are much longer than any of theirs, I can easily catch up. This works well for us as I can take any pictures I want and they don't have to spend their vacation standing around waiting for me. I often return from a trip with hundreds, if not thousands of pictures, ready to be sorted, edited, and shared with the world. Indulge The Wanderlust started out a few years ago as a blog centered on miles and points. Since then it has morphed into more of a general travel blog, and now once again into a travel photography blog. You will see everything from high quality photos of amazing destinations to shots from my phone of local DC landmarks. As I share these photographs, I can only hope that I will encourage all of you to try some new things, take better photos, and most importantly, get out there and experience this beautiful world we all live in.
