Lunch at Food I Love You in Johannesburg is a uniquely meaningful experience that takes place within the historic walls of what was once a place where racial divisions were starkly evident, especially in the meals served to inmates. These walls, which once enforced the apartheid regime's divisive policies, have been transformed.

Today, the former prison kitchen is the heart of Mpho Phalane's eatery, Food I Love You. Mpho is a passionate self-taught cook, driving force behind this endeavor. As a wife and mother of two, she infuses her dishes with a deep appreciation for the connections that food can create.

Her food style is simplistic and inclusive, celebrating the power of food and how it can both bring us together and also pull us apart as the human race.

As your plane soars over the high desert of southern Peru, the dull pale pattern of sand and rocks change form, slowly emerging animal shapes and geometric patterns in distinct white lines. These are the renowned Nazca lines, subject of mystery and wonder for decades! How were they formed? What purpose could they have served? Were aliens involved? The lines are so large that it was not possible to quantify their scale until planes were invented 80 years ago. The landscape changes as lines take shape to form simple geometric designs, swirls and zigzags to more complex shapes of a hummingbird, a spider, a monkey, with some of the straight lines run up to 30 miles in the desert.
