WE ALMOST RAN OVER A LIONESS!
🦁😲😲
We drove to Tarangire National Park for a day trip Safari last Saturday and we totally lucked out! Saw so many epic animals: Jackals, Warthogs, Giraffes, Elephants, Monkeys, a massive eagle, ground hornbills, buffalo and so on. Didn't need binoculars either because they were all so close!
😊😊😊
We were already satisfied with what we'd seen but decided to drive a little further as we saw some vehicles parked ahead. "I wonder what's up there..." we exclaimed. Stepped on the gas, came round the corner and were greeted by a lioness in the middle of the road. We froze with open jaws and started our paparazzi routine (after winding up our windows) while her two cubs joined her and walked right next to our car, stared at us for a bit and continued on.
🤤🤤🤤
We ended up at the safari lodge for a couple of cold beers and the most amazing view (pictured above). What a day! All possible because of housesitting!

Good evening from Arusha, Tanzania! It gets dark quick here being so close to the equator, good thing we've got Netflix, great local food, cheap beer 🍻 and a sweet sausage dog to play with! Who else wants to housesit in Tanzania?
