Crowd funding
As a lot of you probably know, I have recently moved to the UK in order to carry out my dream of racing motorbikes professionally. Achieving this goal means everything to me and I will do everything that I can to succeed. If I achieve this dream I will then be able to move on to my other ones, which are developing the Motorsport in Mauritius to eventually get a proper track there and hopefully a riding school for those waiting to upgrade their riding skills to ride safer. Samuel Mamet, Rudolph Cesarine and I (also with the help of other members of the 2Wheels Racing) have recently started the development process by creating the Mauritius 125 Cup which is the only motorcycle racing event in Mauritius which is a low budget cup based on only riding skills and not motorcycle performance as everybody has the same bike. The Mauritius 125 Cup is also the first event which provides the winners with real prices and unique trophies for the upcoming rounds. It has been a great success so far and we hope that it only gets better. The riders that we created so far seam unstoppable, also showed great skills and a great hope for he next generation of local riders. The next event will be on the 29 of November, I invite all of you to join for a another great day.
I am writing this as I want to make you guys understand that never before any Mauritian has ever won an international motorcycle racing event on big cubes (over 150cc). I have made the choice to leave my favorite place on earth (Mauritius) and the ones I love to give it a go. I am in the UK now and even working long hours does not provide me with enough money to race. This is why financial help from anyone would be welcome, the budget is high and I can really use your help guys!.
I have started my work in Mauritius helping the sport grow, those who know me know that I will always be an active member in the development of Motorsport in Mauritius. I want to create the chance for all the future young riders to racing internationally. I got given this chance, I believe that I would be a shame to quite now. I will keep on doing my best but to be able to be the best you need the best equipments. This is a crowd funding project to support my 2015 session in the Thundersport Pre National Supersport 600 which will be on Eurosport so a lot of media coverage. Please think about it and if you would like to help inbox me on Facebook or email me on [email protected]. So far I need around £15,000 to get me going. A little bit from everybody can make a big difference in next years session. All the update of the session will me posted on the Mauritius125Cup page of Facebook including videos.
Every one helping with more than Rs1500 can have a 8cm x 1.5cm space on the bike for example putting there name of company on it. If people or companies want a bike space to put their name of logo on the bike, the investment will have to be considerable more.
Lets make the move as a community, and do our best to succeed, lets be happy to see a Mauritian rider on Eurosport with the Mauritian flag of the leathers and bike. Make our little Mauritius shine!
Keep in mind that the whole session with be posted on Facebook for all of you to be a part of it and know what are the steps for success.
