Along the eastern Texas Panhandle (Wheeler County) travelers along Rt. 66 need to be prepared for high winds, heavy rains and other inclement weather conditions within the next few minutes. It would be best to stop somewhere safe! The storm will pass within 1.5 hours or so. Thank you!

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the far eastern Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles until 11 PM CDT. It is possible that this will need to be extended further west. Be prepared!

Be aware right now!

A Particularly Dangerous Situation Tornado Watch has been issued for the eastern Oklahoma and the eastern half of the Texas Panhandles through 10 PM this evening. Very large hail up to 4 inches in diameter, wind gusts up to 70 mph and a high risk of long track tornadoes will be the primary threats.
