If you are in Dublin for one day and are curious about the history of Ireland, one place I would recommend you visit is the Famine Ship Museum, Jeanie Johnston. Here is why, you will not only learn about the struggles and resilience of those who embarked on this treacherous voyage, but you will also gain a deeper understanding of the historical significance of this pivotal moment in Irish history. The museum offers a compelling and vivid portrayal of the Famine's impact on Irish society, as well as its enduring legacy in shaping the Irish diaspora and the history of North America.

I just found out about this amazing place called the Celtic Whiskey Shop in Ireland. They are not just whiskey experts, but they also stock a ton of other spirits like vodka, gin, rum, tequila, brandy, and more. And guess what? They're also into wines, and they've got some exclusive and sought-after brands in their collection.

If you can't make it to the store, you can place your orders for delivery on their website or give them a call. They deliver nationwide at a flat rate fee of €7.95 for 1-100 bottles. And guess what? They deliver internationally too!

I think it's amazing that they're making it so convenient for everyone to get their hands on some top-notch spirits and wines. The best part is, they're open for business every day from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Check out their website and maybe give them a call if you're looking for something specific. Cheers!

If you want to avoid rainy days, consider visiting during the summer months of June, July, and August when the weather is warm and sunny☀️. You might also enjoy May and September for fewer crowds and milder weather.
For a truly special experience, why not plan your visit around St. Patrick's Day🍀 on March 17? I can't wait to experience the colourful parades, street parties, and the two-day celebration with plenty of whiskey and Guinness. Share with your friends!🤗

Thousands of Aer Lingus passengers are set to face travel disruptions as the airline prepares to cancel between 10% and 20% of flights from June 26th to June 30th due to industrial action by pilots. The work-to-rule initiated by members of the Irish Airline Pilots Association (IALPA) has prompted the airline to take this unprecedented step, affecting up to 40,000 passengers.

Passengers travelling during this period will receive notifications if their flights are impacted. In response, Aer Lingus is offering affected customers the option to change their flights for free or to cancel their booking and claim a refund or voucher.

Are you looking for authentic Irish traditional music in Dublin? I have a great recommendation for you, check out The Merry Ploughboy in Rathfarnham! It's an amazing spot owned by a group of super-talented traditional musicians.
What's awesome is that these musicians take the stage at every show. They've won the Best Traditional Dinner/Entertainment Event in Ireland three times already, so you know it's the real deal. The fun starts right after dinner and continues late into the night. And get this, they even have a shuttle bus to whisk you to and from the city centre. It's an absolute blast!

I had the best espresso of my life at Caffè Nero in Dublin! 😍 Their espresso is rich, bold, and full of character. Their Pain Au Raisin melted in my mouth 😋. Did you know their founder, Gerry Ford, spent almost 20 years perfecting this blend? He sourced and tasted beans from all over the world to create their signature Classico blend, which has amazing notes of toasted bread and dark chocolate. 🍫✨
It is the perfect place to catch up with friends, get some work done, or simply enjoy a quiet moment😊.
Pay them a visit when in the city!

If it is Monday, you know it is my favourite day of the week to share something old, something new and something blue in our city. Let's go 🥳!
🏰Something Old: Dublin Castle, the oldest part of which dates back to the 13th century, is a treasure trove of history and mystery. From Viking invasions to royal coronations, this ancient fortress has seen it all!
🛳Something New: The Diving Bell, a quirky relic of Dublin Port's industrial past, is now an interactive exhibit that'll make you feel like a dock worker from the good ol' days. Who knew history could be so cool?
💧Something Blue: The Blue River Bistro Bar on the MV Cill Airne Boat is the perfect spot to unwind with a pint and a plate of seafood while taking in the stunning views of the Docklands.

Fun Fact Sunday!!✨
Did you know that Dublin is home to the oldest pub in all of Ireland🍻? That's right, Sean's Bar in Athlone, County Westmeath, dates back to AD 900!
Can you imagine the stories those ancient walls could tell? From local farmers enjoying a pint after a long day's work to weary travellers stopping in for a bit of respite, this place has seen it over the past 1,100+ years👴👵.
I highly recommend visiting Sean's for a unique piece of Irish history to add to your Dublin adventures, be sure to add Sean's Bar. Grab some friends, raise a glass, and soak up the charm of this legendary establishment.
