A beautiful shot of Richmond Bridge. The oldest working bridge in Australia.

We reckon this stunning image captures the essence of Richmond - a picture-perfect historic village in the heart of the Coal River Valley wine region about 30 minutes' drive from downtown Hobart & Beyond. Richmond's iconic bridge, built by convicts in the 1820s, is the oldest bridge still in use in Australia.com. The town is also home to Australia's oldest remaining Catholic Church, St Johns, built in 1836, as well as Australia's oldest gaol - the Richmond Gaol. Add to this more than 50 beautifully restored Georgian buildings now operating as cafes, restaurants, galleries & accommodation and you can see why many find it hard to leave!
