Treat your superhero (aka your mum) to a suprise weekend away, she deserves it 💞 York is a place that fits every budget, from a lavish luxury experience including a spa day, cream tea and a glitzy hotel to the more modest, comfy and cozy accommodations where you're made to feel at home. York is quaint and pretty, with medieval streets making it very picturesque and cute. Restaurants and bars have plenty of character and are always welcoming of visitors, lots of local attractions to visit and catch your attention plus the option of a lovely riverside walk along the banks of The Ouse. Another great way to take in the sight is with a boat cruise or tour (tip: do this early eve and you'll be treated to stunning sunset views and with a bar on board, raise a glass to mum in this special setting)

My #mothersdayinspo for you today is Copenhagen 🇩🇰 which has lots to offer.
Visit the traditional tourist must-sees – Tivoli Gardens, The Little Mermaid and Strøget. The city is speckled with palaces (especially the marvelous Rosenborg Castle and Christiansborg Palace), top-notch museums and parks that draw visitors from around the world.
Take some time exploring the cobblestone streets and antique stores of historical Indre By. Nyhavn is a must too, situated in the central Indre By neighborhood, this bustling area once served as Copenhagen's commercial port. Today, the region features a variety of eateries inside its restored homes, some of which were built in the late 1600s.
And if you have time, take the train to Helsingør to see Kronborg Castle, the setting for Shakespeare's "Hamlet."

It wouldnt be right not to suggest my beloved hometown as part of my #mothersdayinspo series so here we go...!
London is completely unique and is a must-do, especially if you're not from here as I am. An afternoon tea with a difference is my idea for today...Hop aboard a vintage double-decker at Victoria (or near Trafalgar Square) and scoff a fancy-schmancy platter of finger sandwiches, profiteroles, croque monsieurs and cupcakes as lively staff flit about with drinks. An unobtrusive voiceover gives an accessible overview of historic London as it passes by outside.
Follow your afternoon tea with a spot of retail therapy and end the perfect day with a show and a stop over in one of London's top hotels for a real treat 😊😊

So today what I have for you is none other than Amsterdam! 🇳🇱 See the famous Keukenhof Gardens and tulip fields. More than 7 million (Yes you read that right!) flower bulbs bloom in Spring here. What an incredible sight and we all know mum's love flowers 🌷
Amsterdam has lots to offer including a trip to Anne Franks' house, the Van Gogh museum or a canal tour. If you're feeling a little more active why not hire a bike and take in the arty area of Jordaan and grab some lunch at one of the hip eateries.
