UPDATE: Urija Bayer was the son of a large Messianic Jewish family from Germany that lives in northern Israel and assists survivors of the Holocaust. His entire family are members of Israel’s Messianic community.

Urija was fatally wounded several days ago by shrapnel that lodged in his head. He was in a coma since then, and was pronounced dead earlier today.

May his memory be a blesing.

UPDATE: Following a conversation this morning with the doctor in charge of Uriya's treatment, we learned more about his condition.
Uriya is still sedated and ventilated.
He has an injury on both sides of the brain and edemas are developing. There is a lot of pressure and the fear is that the edema will eventually lead to death.
If the condition of the edema improves, they fear irreversible brain damage.

Praying for a miracle for Uriya's condition. May God give strength to the family to be a light and witness to those around them and give wisdom to the doctors treating him.

Four children of the Bayer family are at war, serving in the IDF, right now.
Please pray for Urijah, he's been injured badly.
And please pray for the parents and siblings, who are all Believers in Messiah Yeshua.🙏🇮🇱
