Our wonderful crew gave Sterna a proper deep clean the last two days in preparation for our sail back to Douarnenez in France. We are also fixing some rod rigging and doing small maintenance around the boat. Departure is scheduled for this weekend with Gerrit, Melissa, Heike and Michelle onboard.

STERNA is expected to finish the Ocean Globe Race sometime in the next 24 hours. Leg 4 was brutally long and the crew can't wait to catch up with their families and supporters in Cowes later today or tomorrow in the early morning hours.

We've been busy with some final departure preparations the last couple of days. Amongst other things, we've tested the hydraulic systems, fixed the autopilot, freed our new liferaft and Garmin Inreach from customs and stocked up on provisions. Grenada is under hard lockdown over weekends, so we can't do much until Monday. Nevertheless, we hope to clear out soon, given thay the weather looks manageable at the moment. Hurricane Sam has left the southern North Atlantic calmer than usual and Victor is tracking steadily North.
