He's done it! Duncan Wise brings home gold in the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

Duncan has won the national final in the 'unsung hero' category for his part in conserving Northumberland's dark skies. Northumberland’s Dark Sky status, which he helped secure ten years ago, has brought in over £25 million in revenue for the local economy and has also extended the tourism season in Northumberland, drawing in visitors from across the world.

Congratulations Duncan, we can't think of anyone more deserving!

Well now you have the chance at Kielder Castle to come and see our newest addition.

At last weekends Northumberland County Show at the Countryside / Forestry Area, Ruth Thompson who is very talented from Sylvan Sklls has created a fantastic Osprey Sculpture which is now on display in the Kielder Castle Courtyard and open for views 7 days a week.

We ask visitors not to touch this fantastic sculpture which will stay on display for the summer.

Feel free to come and have a selfie and please do upload your images
