🌞This summer, launch into space! Without staying up past bedtime!

Our daytime kids events at Kielder Observatory are the perfect way to fire up young imaginations during the school holidays!

🌌 Learn all about planets, stars, black holes & galaxies
🧠 Ask our expert astronomers anything (yes, even about aliens)
🪐 Get hands-on with real space rocks and solar telescopes
🎒 Perfect for curious minds aged 7+ (and grown-ups who love a good space fact)

No need to stay up late - these are daytime-only sessions, packed with stellar fun (and a few bad space puns from our team, free of charge).

🎫 Book your tickets now before they vanish into a black hole!

🚨IMPORTANT UPDATE - We are closing! 😱

The stars will still shine… but for one week, we won’t be there to point at them dramatically.

From 19th to 25th June, Kielder Observatory will be closed for essential maintenance.

No, aliens haven’t landed.
No, we haven’t been swallowed by a black hole.
We’re just giving the place a little tune-up - telescopes need love too!🔭♥

So there is no need to launch a rescue mission - we’ll be back and better than ever on 26th June, ready to welcome you under the stars (or clouds… we’ll see).

Thanks for your patience, and we’ll see you very soon! 🚀🛠️🌌
