The day is finally here – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is officially open to guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the largest and most technologically advanced single-themed land expansion ever in a Disney park. The 14-acre land transports guests to the remote planet of Batuu, full of unique sights, sounds, smells and tastes.
Here, guests can become part of their own Star Wars stories as they experience galactic food and beverages, craft their own lightsabers, build their own droids and much more.
Here’s a roundup of some of what you can expect when you step onto Batuu…
🌘 Soar the Galaxy Aboard the Millennium Falcon – Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run makes dreams come true for guests who’ve wished to step aboard the “fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.” Here, guests can strap into the Falcon cockpit and take the controls as pilots, gunners or flight engineers on a mission to deliver smuggled goods while avoiding any … unnecessary entanglements.
🌘 Drink & Dine in Batuu – Weary travelers can take refuge in Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo or even grab a specialty cocktail in the outpost’s favorite watering hole, Oga’s Cantina. For a quick snack, you can also grab a delicious Ronto Wrap from Ronto Roasters or some sweet and spicy Outpost Mix from Kat Saka’s Kettle. And of course, you can always sip on the popular plant-based Blue Milk (or even Green Milk!) at the Milk Stand. 🌘 Shop for Wares Found Only On Batuu – Black Spire Outpost is home to a bustling marketplace, full of vendors showcasing wares from across the galaxy. Guests can pick up authentic Batuuan attire with a stop at Black Spire Outfitters, start a collection of toys at Toydarian Toymakers, or peek into the cages in the Creature Stall. Guests can visit Savi’s Workshop to craft their own lightsabers, customizing them with various hilts, décor and the all-important kyber crystals, or build and customize their own astromech friends at the Droid Depot.
🌘 Encounter Characters in Batuu – Nothing brings the adventure on Batuu to life like encountering a familiar face from the Star Wars galaxy. Be on the lookout for Chewie, Rey, Kylo Ren, stormtroopers and Resistance spy Vi Moradi.

Big Announcements from the Disney Parks Panel at the D23 Expo:
°o° A new parade called, “Magic Happens,” will debut in Disneyland this spring.
°o° Disney will collaborate with Cirque du Soleil for a new show in Disney Springs.
°o° Target is teaming up with Disney to create a new experience in Target stores!
°o° Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Resort is the new Star Wars resort as a two night adventure on the Halcyon, where guests can live their own Star Wars stories located in Walt Disney World.
°o° Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge will be inspired by Princess and the Frog.
°o° New nighttime Epcot show, Epcot Forever + HarmonioUS inspired by classic Disney music.
°o° 3 New Neighborhoods at Epcot including World Discovery, World Nature, and World Celebration.
°o° New Cherry Tree Lane neighborhood will be in the UK pavilion in Epcot, including a new Mary Poppins Ride!
°o° The fifth Disney Cruise Line ship is officially named The Disney Wish officially setting sail January 2022!
°o° New Disney private island; Lighthouse Point.
Other announcements include; a new Beauty and the Beast sing-a-long in Epcot, new films in both Canada and China pavilions, a new Moana water based attraction in Epcot, Play! a new pavilion in World Discovery, new Mission: Space restaurant Space 220, new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride in Epcot, and the 50th Walt Disney World anniversary will be celebrated in ALL 4 parks!

The Grim Grinning Ghosts are ready for their photo. Are you?
Beginning today, Disney PhotoPass Service will capture a spirited photo of you as your Doom Buggy journeys through a labyrinth of haunted chambers in the Haunted Mansion attraction at Walt Disney World Resort! You might even notice a few silly spooks that fill in the dead space of your photo.
This is the 13th attraction photo capture opportunity in Florida and joins more than 100 places where Disney PhotoPass Service captures memories throughout Walt Disney World Resort. At Character Experiences, participating dining locations, and the most scenic locations around the parks, Disney PhotoPass Service is committed to ensuring you have photos of your favorite vacation moments to treasure long after you’ve departed.
To preview, purchase and download this attraction photo, you must be wearing a MagicBand or MagicBand 2 Icon in a MagicKeeper that’s linked to your Disney account. When you do, your photo will be automatically linked to your account, where it can be previewed at Disneyworld.com/PhotoPass or in the My Disney Experience app.
