Here is why you should visit the Jerónimos Monastery in Lisbon Portugal! 🏛️

👀 This stunning Manueline-style monastery was built in the 16th century and is home to the tomb of Vasco da Gama, the famous explorer.

The intricate architecture, grand cloisters, and the Church of Santa Maria, where Vasco da Gama and King Manuel I are buried are a sight to see.

Not to mention the beautiful courtyard.

Afterwards, why not take a short walk to the Belém Tower. 😁

In 1972, the Fioroni brothers purchased the farm and began to cultivate numerous varieties of plants such as vines, olives, wheat, vegetables, and greens. To this day, you can still find the same vines and olives on the farm.

The Poggio Alloro farm still raises about 50 Chianina (kee-a-nee-na) cattle and are the only farm to do so in the area. They raise them according on a strict breeding program and all calves are born and feed at the farm.

It is in thanks to this care and to the family experience in breeding animals that their T-bone steak, bistecca alla Fiorentina, is one of the most appreciated in the area. Chianinas are known for the quality of their meat, which is high in protein and low in fat and cholesterol.

After our private tour with (Erinda) around the working farm and vineyard of Fattoria Poggio Alloro, we had a chance to sip on their delicious wine and enjoy the view!

The Belém Tower (Portuguese: Torre de Belém) is one of Lisbon’s most iconic landmarks, located in the Belém district along the Tagus River.

This historic structure, built between 1514 and 1520 during the reign of King Manuel I, was originally constructed to defend the entrance to the city’s harbor and safeguard Lisbon from maritime threats.

You can still visit the Belém Museum and climb the tower for only €8! (more info in the comments below!)

🥰 I am so overwhelmed with joy right now that I just had to post this right away! 🤗

This is why I do, what I do 😌 (long post ahead)

In 2018, I traveled to Santorini, Greece. Since then I have met so many amazing people along the way in Santorini and other parts of the world.

One of the those people on Santorini happens to be a wedding photographer 📸. His name is Ben Rigas.

A few weeks ago I had a young man message me from New York, USA, his name is Connor. Connor's goal was to propose to his girlfriend while they were on vacation and photograph a surprise engagement. Sure enough, I had the perfect man for the job and we started planning.

Last Friday, Connor made his move in one of the most romantic little villages in Santorini. A village called Megalochori.

Charming Megalochori village is a labyrinth of winding alleys, whitewashed houses, and blue-domed churches with ornate bell towers. Reached by a steep path with views of Santorini caldera, the churches of Agios Nikolaos and Our Lady of Plaka are built into the cliffside.

It was on that very cliffside that Connor got down on one knee and asked his girlfriend to be his wife.
