Our France with Friends tours are offering a wonderful opportunity to relax in France and be treated like a guest in my family home, just outside of Paris!
I personally lead our small group of 6 to 10 for 7 days, through the Paris countryside, chateaux, museums and landmarks, and our veteran chef will teach you French cuisine, presentation and wine pairing.

Today, we celebrate the birthday of Charles Francois , an artist that called our village of Valmondois home - which influenced much of his work. A collection of landscapes and the Oise river made their premier throughout his lifetime and are still enjoyed today – all over the world.

🎨 Researchers of the Van Gogh Institut and the Van Gogh Museum can now affirm the EXACT location where Van Gogh painted his last work!

🎨 Last year, the location in Auvers-sur-Oise was discovered by Wouter van der Veen, the scientific director of the Institut Van Gogh after finding a postcard dating from 1900-1910 featuring a scene including tree trunks and roots.

🎨 The recently uncovered image was noticed on the Pontoise Museum blog earlier this year. The photograph shows certain elements not found on the postcard.

We long for the days that we can plan our next France with Friends group to visit Auvers to not only follow in the footsteps of Van Gogh but to also stand at the exact place where his paint brush last touched the canvas.

We loved exploring Maison-Atelier de Daubigny –the first artistic site in Auvers, created in 1860 by C.F Daubigny. The studio is a must-see when you're in the village of . The energy and beauty of the studio can only be felt when experienced in-person. Inside the house you will discover several paintings by Daubigny, Corot, Daumier, Oudinot. We can't wait to take our next France With Friend group to discover with us!
